Process for the manufacture of an electric cable by extrusion of a composition based on a propylene polymer and on a dielectric liquid
The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of an electric cable comprising an extruded thermoplastic layer obtained from a composition comprising at least one dielectric liquid and at least one thermoplastic polymer chosen from a propylene homopolymer and copolymer, and also to a cable obtained by said process.
Fluoroplastic pellets, electric wire, and method for producing same
The invention provides novel pellets having high fluidity in a hopper of an extruder and capable of forming a coating layer having good wire diameter stability and capacitance stability even when used for rapid molding of electric wire coating. The pellets contain a fluororesin. Each of the pellets, placed on a horizontal surface, has a substantially circular outline or a substantially elliptic outline and has a major axis D.sub.1 of 3.1 mm or shorter and a minor axis D.sub.2 of 3.1 mm or shorter when observed in the direction normal to the horizontal surface. Each pellet satisfies the following formula (1): (D.sub.1+D.sub.2)/2L=1.8 to 2.6, wherein D.sub.1 represents the major axis, D.sub.2 represents the minor axis, and L represents the height from the horizontal surface to the highest point of the pellet.
CABLE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CABLE AND EXTRUSION UNIT
A cable having at least one conductor which extends in a longitudinal direction and is enclosed by a jacket that is extruded onto the conductor. The jacket has a plurality of sections which are manufactured from different plastics, with results in the sections having different functionality. As a result, properties of the cable on a respective section are optimally adapted to the requirements of the respective section. There is also described a method for producing such a cable and to an extrusion unit for extruding the jacket with a plurality of sections.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF AN ELONGATED PRODUCT, AND ELONGATED PRODUCT
A method for producing an elongated product. By an extrusion unit, a material is extruded onto a core of the elongated product as a casing having a predetermined wall strength. Downstream of the extrusion unit and while the material is still moldable, the elongated product is supplied in a conveying direction to a molding unit. A portion of the material is held by the molding unit and, from the held material, a molded part is formed in an integral manner on the casing. The formation of the molded part is thereby carried out in an advantageous manner, via a deformation of material of the casing.
Fluid injection system with smart injection and receiver tanks
A tank including a fluid reservoir, a communication module, a controller, and at least one sensor. The fluid reservoir is configured to be in fluid communication with a cable segment. The communication module is configured to communicate with an external device. The sensor is configured to detect an injection parameter value, encode the injection parameter value in a sensor signal, and send the sensor signal to the controller. The controller is configured to automatically instruct the communication module to transmit information to the external device based on the injection parameter value.
Method of Manufacturing a Wet or Semi-Wet Design High Voltage Submarine Power Cable
A method of manufacturing a wet or semi-wet design high voltage or extra high voltage submarine power cable, the method including: a) supplying polymer materials to an extruder from a material handling room, the material handling room fulfilling clean room class 8 or cleaner according to ISO-14644-1: 2015, and b) extruding an insulation system, including an insulation layer, around a conductor in the extruder using the polymer material, the extruder fulfilling the requirements of clean room class 8 or cleaner according to ISO-14644-1: 2015.
