STRUCTURE STABILIZATION SYSTEM
A stabilizing system for a modular structure is disclosed. The modular structure is intended to provide a framework for the storage of physical fitness training equipment and the support of items of exercise apparatus. Since such structures are prone to tipping, the prior art required that they be permanently fastened to either a wall or a floor. The present disclosure provides a system for obviating the need for permanent fastening by providing a foot element extending outward from the vertical support elements of the modular structure which moves the tipping point and by providing a base plate arrangement which can carry weight modules to act as a counterweight in opposition to any tipping forces.
RESISTANCE EXERCISE APPARATUS
A resistance exercise apparatus includes a support formation or platform for supporting the bodyweight of a user. The apparatus includes a pulley system with pulleys around which a cable is threaded, as well as a resistance mechanism with a pneumatic actuator connected to the pulley system. The cable has a handle on which the user can exert a muscular load so that the muscular load is transferred by the cable as a tensile load, to the resistance mechanism and the resistance mechanism being configured such that the pneumatic actuator exerts a resistive force against said tensile load.
Fitness device and exercise method for generating opposing muscle resistance
A fitness device contains a strap, a handle, and a plate. The strap is substantially inelastic and flexible. The plate is substantially rigid. The handle at least partially envelopes the strap. A method of exercising with such a fitness device is also described herein. Other fitness devices and other methods of use are also described herein.
ALL SURFACE, COUNTER-WEIGHTED, TEETERING, FREE-STANDING, MOBILE FIELD SPORT SHOOTING TARGET DEVICE AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
A mobile, free standing field sport shooting target device, including a pole having a first end and a second end, wherein an opening is located at the first and second ends of the pole, a counter weight plate having a plurality of openings, wherein the counter weight plate is located adjacent to the first end of the pole, and a collar operatively connected to the first end of the pole, wherein the collar has a first end and a second end such that the counter weight plate is located adjacent to the first end of the collar and the collar is used to retain the counter weight on the first end of the pole, and wherein a distance between the first end of the pole and the second end of the collar can be adjusted.
PLAYGROUND APPARATUS
A playground apparatus comprises a frame adapted to rest on a ground surface, the frame comprising a pair of laterally opposed outermost sides having first ends arranged towards an outermost end of the frame and second ends opposed to the first ends, wherein the outermost sides taper inwardly towards the first ends. Monkey bars are supported by the frame above the ground surface that comprise a plurality of graspable rungs arranged in a row. The playground apparatus also comprises a pair of upright support poles, wherein uppermost sections of the upright support poles are connected to the frame towards the first ends such that the uppermost sections are laterally inwardly disposed relative to the second ends. Lowermost ends of the upright support poles extend outwardly away from one another and towards the outermost end to increase a surface area of the ground surface engaged by the upright support poles.
DRIBBLE CROSSOVER TRAINING DEVICE
An athletic training device for teaching a crossover dribble skill comprised of an arc member coupled to weighted bases where the device is self-righting. The training device teaches players that the crossover dribble skill is low and has a significant horizontal component by passing the basketball underneath the arc member. The training device is self-righting due to the curved lower surface of the weighted bases as well as the weighted bases having a top and bottom chamber where only the bottom chamber is filled.
Game set and method for playing the same
A game set having a flying disc, a goal mount, a target loop configured to attach to the goal mount, the target loop having a loop surface with a solid outer portion that surrounds an open middle portion, the open middle portion having at least one distinct opening, each distinct opening defining a scoring portal, and a score controller having at least one score sensor configured to detect the passage of the flying disk through each scoring portal, a vibration sensor configured to detect the target loop being impacted and wherein the score controller is configured to emit an alert when a sensor is triggered. The score controller may be further comprised of a viewing camera, microphone, game clock, scoreboard, distance verification device, loudspeaker, score buzzer, score indicator light, battery, and wireless transmitter. The score controller may communicate with a game application on a device, enabling “physical virtual” play.
PORTABLE PUTTING GREEN
A practice putting device that includes a putting mat, a housing, and ball return arrangement.
Therapeutic oxygen breathing apparatus and exercise system
An exercise with oxygen therapy (EWOT) apparatus for rejuvenating oxygen-depleted cell tissue and simulating high altitude oxygen conditions. The EWOT apparatus includes a first cylindrical bladder for providing oxygen-enriched air and a second bladder for providing lower-purity hypoxic air. The first bladder is retained within an open, lightweight rectangular-shaped frame having vertical frame members. An air supply source provides the oxygen-enriched and hypoxic air to the first and second bladders, respectively. A control switch, which can be manually and/or programmed to automatically operate, selectively delivers the oxygen-enriched and/or hypoxic air to a breathing mask worn by a user while exercising on exercise equipment. The first bladder includes a plurality of weights which provide a positive pressure to the air therein. The cylindrical first bladder is attached to the vertical frame members with slidable rings and expands and collapses in a vertical direction when being filled or during use, respectively.
Exercise apparatus and method
An apparatus including an elongated foam piece first and second ends; and a suction cup attached to the elongated foam piece at the first end. The elongated foam piece may be a cylindrical foam piece. The suction cup is typically removably attached to the elongated foam piece. The apparatus may further include a plate to which the suction cup is removably attached. The plate typically has an outer diameter larger than an outer diameter of the suction cup. The apparatus may include a weight attached to the plate, underneath the plate, opposite from where the suction cup is removably attached to the plate. A plurality of such apparatuses, spaced apart from each other, may be attached to a surface by suction; and a plurality of exercises using each of the plurality of apparatuses may be performed, such as by contacting or weaving in and out of the apparatuses.
