Exercise machine having integrated video gaming system
The exercise machine having integrated video gaming system comprises a frame, a seat, pedals, a steering assembly, a display screen, and a controller. The exercise machine having integrated video gaming system may be a device adapted to be used by a user while exercising and may encourage the user to move in a manner that strengthens muscles, increases lung capacity, increases metabolism, or combinations thereof. The seat may be adapted for the user to sit upon while pedaling the pedals. The steering assembly may be adapted to be held and moved by the user while exercising. The display screen may be adapted to present still or moving images to the user while the user exercises. The display screen, the steering assembly, the pedals, or combinations thereof may be operable to interact with the controller as a gaming system.
Rotator cuff exercise device
The rotator cuff exercise device includes a ring unit, a mounting board, and a pair of mounting tracks. The rotator cuff exercise device may be adapted to exercise joints and muscles or may prevent the loss of flexibility in an elbow or a shoulder blade. The rotator cuff exercise device may be particularly suited for therapy after an injury involving a rotator cuff. A handle may detachably couple to an individual rotatable ring selected from one or more rotatable rings of the ring unit and may be adapted to be grasped by a hand of the user. The handle may be operable to move the individual rotatable ring in a circular motion. The circular motion of the handle may exercise the joints and muscles of the user.
Golf clubhead apparatus for swing training and methods for device alignment to improve ball striking consistency
A training device can easily be affixed or mounted to the hitting face of a golf club. The training device may provide auditory, tactile, and directional feedback for the user during practice so that he/she may learn how to strike the ball consistently on the sweet spot. A training device may include several raised surfaces of varying shapes rising from the base surrounding an aperture centered over the sweet spot of the golf club and larger than the surface area contacted by the ball. Use of the training device may reduce the user's variance from the “sweet spot” due to a strike not only along the longitudinal axis but also along the vertical axis. The user avoids impingement with the raised surfaces of the training device by striking the ball within a pre-set tolerance as well as within the boundaries of the aperture.
Data-collecting exercise device
An exercise device comprises a rigid rod having a first and second ends, a plurality of light sources arranged in a row along at least a portion of an axis extending between the first and second ends of the rigid rod, at least one load sensor for detecting an applied longitudinal force, and a processor coupled to the at least one load sensor and to the plurality of light sources. The processor is configured to execute machine-executable instructions that cause the processor to obtain a signal indicating a magnitude of the applied longitudinal force, and cause a subset of the plurality of light sources to emit light. A ratio of a number of light sources in the subset to a total number of the plurality of light sources represents the magnitude of the applied longitudinal force relative to a reference longitudinal force.
SYNCHRONIZING VIDEO WORKOUT PROGRAMS ACROSS MULTIPLE DEVICES
In one aspect of the disclosure, a method that involves keeping state of a video workout program may include communicatively coupling a server in a cloud network to an exercise machine through a first network connection, communicatively coupling the server to a network device through a second network connection, the server providing a video workout program to the exercise machine for execution at the exercise machine to enable a user to perform at least a portion of a workout of the video workout program on the exercise machine, the server keeping state of the video workout program during execution of the video workout program based on inputs from the exercise machine and the network device, and taking an action based on the state. The action may include synchronizing multiple displays, adaptively scaling the video workout program, and/or generating and providing an exercise machine control command to the exercise machine.
Braking and locking system for a treadmill
A system for a manual treadmill having a tread that rotates around a front axle and a rear axle and side rails on opposing sides of the tread includes a brake configured to slow rotation of at least one of the front axle or the rear axle, a controller, and a first presence sensor in communication with the controller, the first presence sensor positioned on a side rail and configured to detect a user on the side rail. The brake is not normally engaged during operation of the treadmill when the tread is moving and the first presence sensor does not detect the user on the side rail. The controller is configured to, in response to the first presence sensor subsequently detecting the user on the side rail, engage the brake.
Golf GPS device with hole recognition and hole selection
The disclosure herein provides a golf GPS device with a sensor mechanism to automatically switch between video and audio only modes of the device. More particularly, when a player attaches the golf GPS device to a piece of clothing or hat, the device automatically switches to audio-only mode. When the player detaches the golf GPS device, the device automatically switches to video mode, with or without audio. The golf GPS device further includes one or more processors configured to repeatedly determine in which one of the plurality of holes the device is located, to repeatedly compute a distance between the device and a feature of the determined hole, and to cause to display the hole number of the determined hole and the computed distance on the display screen.
Automated physical training system
Systems, methods and computer readable media comprising a virtual exercise board, which is represented by images on the screen of a pad device; wearable devices configured to attach to each shoe of a user and to collect and transmit touch data to the pad device; cameras for tracking movement and calibrating with the data collected by the wearable devices; and computer programs for collecting user data, processing user data, and generating outputs. In embodiments, features include augmented reality; ratings of performance; automated workouts/protocols; real-time progress bar; multi-location database capabilities; and reports.
ROWING EXERCISE DEVICE AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A rowing exercise device comprises a support structure; a movable user support movably associated with the support structure for movement relative to the support structure; a movable foot support movably associated with the support structure for movement relative to the support structure; a handle; and a rowing assembly operatively associated with the handle and at least the movable foot support to cause at least the movable foot support to move relative to the support structure with movement of the handle so that both a user s body and one or both feet move relative to the support structure with movement of the handle.
CONTROL SYSTEM OF A CYCLING SIMULATION DEVICE
Control system of a cycling simulation device, said device comprising a support frame, with which a user carries out training by acting on the pedals of said bicycle, a flywheel rotating around a main shaft, connected to said coupling members, and a braking device, acting on said flywheel, comprising: a control logic unit, capable of connecting in transmission and reception with a remote device, by which a user can set one or more training parameters, and a torque sensor for detecting and sending to said control logic unit a signal related to the torque acting on said main shaft during the rotation of said flywheel, and said control logic unit being configured so as to adjust the braking force exerted by said braking device on said flywheel as a function of training parameters and of signal related to the torque acting on said main shaft detected by torque sensor.
