Magnetic attachment mechanism with safety latch for a desktop display

This application relates to a magnetic attachment mechanism attached to a stand for a display unit. The display unit includes a housing enclosing a display panel. The housing has a recess formed on a rear surface of the housing to accept the magnetic attachment mechanism. The magnetic attachment mechanism includes a magnetic element that is magnetically coupled to a corresponding magnetic element in the housing of the desktop display device when the magnetic attachment mechanism is inserted into the recess. The magnetic attachment mechanism also includes a latch mechanism that locks the display unit to the stand when the latch mechanism is engaged with a surface feature of the recess. The latch mechanism can be disengaged to allow for mobility of the display unit as separated from the stand.

Coupling systems and methods for electronic devices

Illustrative examples include a system for coupling a first electronic device to a second electronic device. The first electronic device may include a housing having a first engagement surface and a first magnet array. The first engagement surface may be adapted to receive the second electronic device. The second electronic device may include a second magnet array. An actuator coupled to the first magnet array may move the first magnet array relative to the housing and the second magnetic array, to attractively couple or repulsively de-couple the second electronic device from the first electronic device.

MOUSE HAVING REPLACEABLE PALM REST AND REPLACEABLE FINGER REST

A mouse having a replaceable palm rest and a replaceable finger rest is provided. The mouse includes a mouse body, the replaceable finger rest, and the replaceable palm rest. The mouse body has two side portions opposite to each other and a rear side portion located between the two side portions. The replaceable finger rest is replaceably coupled to the side portions of the mouse body by magnetic attraction. The replaceable palm rest is replaceably coupled to the rear side portion of the mouse body by magnetic attraction. The replaceable palm rest presses downwardly against the replaceable finger rest when the replaceable palm rest is downwardly coupled to the rear side portion of the mouse body.

Micro camera and multi-purpose mounting base

A power connector facilitates mounting and repositioning an electronic device via a magnetic field. The power connector can include a receptacle surface comprising a curved surface operable to mate with a curved contact surface of an electronic device, and a device-coupling mechanism operable to hold the curved contact surface of the electronic device pressed against the curved surface of the power connector device, while an angle of the electronic device changes with respect to the power connector. The power connector can also include a power-transfer mechanism operable to transfer at least power to the electronic device, without an electrical wire between power connector and the electronic device, while the angle of the electronic device changes with respect to the power connector.

Switch structure and electronic device employing same

A switch structure includes a power element, a keypad, a first magnetic component, and a second magnetic component. The second magnetic component is positioned adjacent to the first magnetic component. When the keypad is deactivated, a magnetic attractive force is generated between the first magnetic component and the second magnetic component. When the keypad is activated, the power element controls the first magnetic component to generate a magnetic repulsive force with the second magnetic component.

Magnet arrays

Method and device for self-regulated flux transfer from a source of magnetic energy into one or more ferromagnetic work pieces, wherein a plurality of magnets, each having at least one N-S pole pair defining a magnetization axis, are disposed in a medium having a first relative permeability, the magnets being arranged in an array in which gaps of predetermined distance are maintained between neighboring magnets in the array and in which the magnetization axes of the magnets are oriented such that immediately neighboring magnets face one another with opposite polarities, such arrangement representing a magnetic tank circuit in which internal flux paths through the medium exist between neighboring magnets and magnetic flux access portals are defined between oppositely polarized pole pieces of such neighboring magnets, and wherein at least one working circuit is created which has a reluctance that is lower than that of the magnetic tank circuit by bringing one or more of the magnetic flux access portals into close vicinity to or contact with a surface of a ferromagnetic body having a second relative permeability that is higher than the first relative permeability, whereby a limit of effective flux transfer from the magnetic tank circuit into the working circuit will be reached when the work piece approaches magnetic saturation and the reluctance of the work circuit substantially equals the reluctance of the tank circuit.
