20170273852 · 2017-09-28 · ·

A walking assistance apparatus includes stimulus applying means for applying a stimulus to a leg part on which a walking assistance apparatus is mounted and state detection means for detecting a supporting leg condition and a lifted leg condition of the leg part on which the walking assistance apparatus is mounted. The stimulus applying means applies a first stimulus to the leg part when the state detection means has detected that the leg part on which the walking assistance apparatus is mounted is in the lifted leg condition, and the stimulus applying means does not apply a stimulus to the leg part or applies a second stimulus that is weaker than the first stimulus when the state detection means has detected that the leg part on which the walking assistance apparatus is mounted is in the supporting leg condition.

RESISTIVE THERAPEUTIC WRIST DYNAMOMETER AND EXERCISER DEVICE
20170246506 · 2017-08-31 ·

A resistive therapeutic device is disclosed such that upon a user applying torque a controller emits a signal to an electromagnetic resistance generating member. The controller detects a maximum torque applied by a user detects if the maximum torque applied by a user is less than or equal to a resistance setting. The torque resistance is variable from a neutral position to a maximum position, and the controller increases the resistance setting as a user moves a torque application member in a direction away from the neutral position that represents an increase in torque applied by the user. A control and user interface for a resistive therapeutic device includes an evaluation display of torque strength applied and displays an angle of rotation clockwise or counterclockwise directions ranging from 0 degrees to 360 degrees and a count of repetitive times a user has rotated at least 360 degrees in either direction.

Information processing apparatus

A motion measurement apparatus according to an embodiment of the present technology includes a controller unit. The controller unit extracts, from an acceleration in each direction of three axes that includes a dynamic acceleration component and a static acceleration component of a detection target that moves within a space, the dynamic acceleration component of the detection target, and generates, as a control signal, a change in kinematic physical quantity of a posture of the detection target from the dynamic acceleration component.

A method can include providing an object having a size smaller than a size of a known regulation object, projecting the object, via a delivery device, toward a trainee, and training the trainee to follow the object. A method can include determining a game parameter of a game trajectory of a sports object that was projected along the game trajectory in a real-time sports event, and based on the game parameters, adapting a delivery device to deliver a training object along a training trajectory that mimics at least a portion of the game trajectory, with the training object being smaller than the sports object.

System for Measuring and Reporting Weight-Training Performance Metrics
20170216665 · 2017-08-03 ·

A system for measuring weight-lifting performance is described. The system comprises a collar that may be attached to a weight bar, wherein the collar comprises at least one motion sensor, at least one touch sensor, and a signal processor. The motion sensors comprise a barometric altimeter, a gyroscope, and/or an accelerometer that measure the motion of the weight bar during a lifting activity. Signals from the motion sensors are interpreted by the signal processor as physical activity data, which are then wirelessly transmitted to a multimedia device having a data processor. The data processor is configured to calculate performance metrics from the physical activity data and to display them to a user via a display on the multimedia device. Athletes may use the performance metric outputs from the data processor to monitor the form of their lifting exercises for training purposes, safety considerations, and self-improvement.
