In particular, the composite membrane includes a first layer having a first side and a second side opposite to one another and with a plurality of through-holes which extend between the first side and the second side; and a first plurality of fibers made of a thermo-conductive material and configured to convey moisture. The through-holes are engaged by first fibers of the plurality of fibers so as to form channels designed to convey a liquid from the first side to the second side.

A shoe insole assembly for enhancing the odor of a shoe includes an insole that is insertable into a shoe. The insole is comprised of a resiliently compressible material to enhance comfort for a user wearing the shoe. Additionally, the insole is infused with a chemical odor eliminator to reduce odors associated with shoes. The insole is infused with a volatile chemical scent that is released from the insole to enhance the scent of the shoe. A cushion is coupled to the insole and the cushion is comprised of a resiliently compressible material to enhance comfort for the user.
