The yoke encloses an armature that is provided with a flange, which conducts magnetic flux from a housing to the armature, the housing being connected on the one hand to a flange of the yoke and on the other hand to a core flange in a material-bonding manner by welding. The electromagnet can be used for actuation of valves, couplings or other electromechanical adjusting elements.

Movement of the electric component in a direction intersecting the fitting direction and rotation of the electric component around an axis parallel to the fitting direction are restrained by the rib press-fitted into the groove portion.

A respective flexure may be between adjacent end portions of the housing and the field member.

The solenoid valve may include a coil, a stem core tube, and a core. The coil may include one or more electrical leads configured to provide the coil with an electric current. The coil may be configured to convert the electric current to a magnetic field. At least a portion of the stem core tube may be insertable within a coil channel. At least a portion of the core may be insertable within an end of the stem core tube and may be moveable within the stem core tube via the magnetic field. At least one of the stem core tube or the core may be fabricated from 434 stainless steel and treated with one or more corrosion prevention processes. The solenoid valve may be couplable to one or more components of the brewing apparatus. The brewing apparatus may be dimensioned to fit within a compartment of the aircraft galley.

A solenoid is provided having an improved connection arrangement. The solenoid includes external wires that are coupled to internal solenoid components via terminals. Further, a sealed solenoid is provided having a housing overmolded onto a solenoid subassembly. External wires can be coupled to the solenoid after overmolding. The solenoid may also include a cavity for receiving at least one of electrical component. The solenoid may also include a powdered metal core.
