SOLENOID, DAMPING FORCE ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM, AND DAMPING FORCE ADJUSTABLE SHOCK ABSORBER
Provided is a solenoid comprising a molded coil, an anchor, and an armature. In the anchor, an outer peripheral convex portion and an inner peripheral convex portion are formed. When no current is being applied, axial distance between the outer peripheral convex portion of the anchor and an outer peripheral portion of the armature which is radially closest to the outer peripheral convex portion is smaller than axial distance between the inner peripheral convex portion of the anchor and an inner peripheral portion of the armature which is radially closest to the inner peripheral convex portion. In other words, timing at which the outer peripheral convex portion of the anchor and the outer peripheral portion of the armature face each other in a radial direction is shifted from timing at which the inner peripheral convex portion of the anchor and the inner peripheral portion of the armature face each other in the radial direction.
Vapor ablation systems and methods
A vapor delivery needle is provided that may include any of a number of features. One feature of the energy delivery probe is that it can apply condensable vapor energy to tissue, such as a prostrate, to shrink, damage, denaturate the prostate. In some embodiments, the vapor delivery needle can be advanced a predetermined distance into the prostate with a solenoid actuation mechanism. Methods associated with use of the energy delivery probe are also covered.

Systems and methods for multi-stable solenoid
The present disclosure provides a multi-stable solenoid with one or more magnetic damping rings. In general, the magnetic damping rings provide an increased damping force to an armature of the multi-stable solenoid to ensure efficient operation, reduce detent position overshoot, and reduce an impact force at end positions.
ELECTROMAGNETIC LINEAR ACTUATOR
An electromagnetic linear actuator is provided having a housing having a casing section and an end piece, a coil arrangement having two coils which extend about a common axis, are wound in opposite directions and are offset axially from one another, an armature arrangement mounted displacably in the housing along the axis, and a shaft, which passes through the end piece. A magnet arrangement at the end of the shaft has an axially magnetized permanent magnet and two disc-shaped flux conducting pieces are arranged on a front side. The first coil which faces away from the free end of the shaft has a region with a reduced internal diameter. A core of a magnetically active material is held in the coil. In each end positions of the armature arrangement, at least 50% of the axial length of the magnet arrangement is overlapped by one of the coils.

Fluid servo valve and fluid servo apparatus
The present invention controls the pressure and flow rate of fluid, in order to obtain uniform performance, configure a closed loop magnetic circuit so as to include an electromagnet, a flapper, and a yoke material, and elastically deform the flapper itself by Maxwell attractive force generated between a magnetic pole of the electromagnet and the flapper to make the separation distance between the nozzle and the flapper variable. As opposed to a rigid flapper structure that swingably moves around a supporting point, like a conventional servo valve, the electromagnet, the magnetic pole, the nozzle, the flapper, and the like are arranged such that a change in magnetic gap directly leads to a change in air gap.
Plunger for magnetic latching solenoid actuator
A plunger includes an elongate plunger body which is at least in part cylindrical and a plunger head at one end of the plunger body. The plunger body has a magnet-interface body portion which has a non-cylindrical cross-section perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the plunger body. A magnetic latching solenoid actuator using such a plunger is also provided, as is a method of improving the performance of a magnetic latching solenoid actuator.
