Racquet sport scoring system
A racquet sports scoring system is provided. The scoring system uses a computerized display and input system to receive scoring changes. In many embodiments, the computerized interface is in communication with a database which records the score in real time, and also records scores of other concurrently-played matches. These match scores, and in some cases video of live matches played at other locations, can be viewed on the same computerized interface on which scores are recorded or on remote devices.
Manual treadmill which can be set to an exercise speed
A manual treadmill includes a frame, a treadmill belt having a top surface for allowing a user to exercise thereon and movement of the user driving the treadmill belt to rotate, a sensing apparatus for sensing a rotational speed of the treadmill belt, a resistance adjusting apparatus for generating a resistance to impede rotation of the treadmill belt, an elevation angle adjusting apparatus for changing an inclination of the top surface of the treadmill belt, and a control unit. The control unit is in communication with the sensor, the resistance adjusting apparatus and the elevation angle adjusting apparatus and operates one of the resistance adjusting apparatus and the elevation angle adjusting apparatus to control the rotational speed of the treadmill belt, and further operates the other one of that if the rotational speed of the treadmill belt does not reach a predetermined target rotational speed.
Exercise machine with visual guidance
An exercise machine with visual guidance for providing an instructional lighting system for use with an exercise machine. The exercise machine with visual guidance generally provides for a novel exercise machine comprising an exercise platform movable substantially the length of one or more longitudinal rails, and a lighting system to instruct the exerciser on such exercise elements that may include the direction, pace or intensity of the exercise.
Devices for exercise apparatuses
A device for an exercise apparatus includes a linear adjustment system and a sensor coupled to the linear adjustment system. The exercise apparatus includes a loading interface and a frame coupled to the loading interface for performing an exercise. The linear adjustment system fixes the loading interface of the exercise apparatus at any one of a plurality of functional positions in a functional range of the loading interface. The sensor measures the force exerted on the linear adjustment system. A correlating mechanism is used to correlate the force exerted on the linear adjustment system with the force exerted on the loading interface. The device allows exercisers to exert high or maximum loads in any one of a plurality of positions throughout their entire range of motion without first passing through a weak range of motion.
User configurable trailer
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, coordinate dynamic adjustments of a trailer based in part on a user profile associated with a user physically present at the trailer and an activity profile associated with an activity selected to be performed at the trailer. A dynamic adjustment may modify a tilt of a lower surface of the trailer. A dynamic adjustment may modify a dimension(s) of the trailer based in part on a detected object(s). Various dynamic adjustments may occur concurrently, individually and/or sequentially. The trailer may be a moveable trailer for temporary attachment with a vehicle.
STRENGTH TRAINING APPARATUS WITH MULTI-CABLE FORCE PRODUCTION
An apparatus includes a first cable, a first motor configured to provide first tension to the first cable, a second cable coupled to the first cable at an end effector, and a second motor configured to provide second tension to the second cable. The first cable and the second cable are routed such that the first tension and the second tension combine to provide a force on the end effector. At least one of the first tension or the second tension is directed at least partially in a downward direction.
FREE-WEIGHT EXERCISE SYSTEM
Embodiments of a free-weight exercise system are disclosed. In one embodiment, the free-weight exercise system includes a base that supports the free-weight exercise system a support surface. A platform is disposed above the base. The platform is sufficiently strong to support one or more exercise weights. The platform is disposed above the base a sufficient height to position the one or more exercise weights at an ergonomic height for grasping by a user. In some embodiments, the platform is be positionable between a retracted configuration and a deployed configuration. The free-weight exercise system includes a mast coupled to and extending above the base. The mast supports a display subsystem. The display subsystem includes a display. The display is disposed at a height above the support surface above the height of the platform. In some embodiments, the display may be rotatable between a landscape orientation and a portrait orientation.
REFLECTIVE VIDEO DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR INTERACTIVE TRAINING AND DEMONSTRATION AND METHODS OF USING SAME
An interactive exercise method includes streaming exercise content to an interactive video system for display via a mirror, the exercise content including a depiction of an instructor performing a repetitive movement. A video stream of a user performing the repetitive movement is received, via a camera of the interactive video system, and the user is detected in the video stream. The user or a body portion thereof is tracked in the video stream as the user performs the repetitive movement. The method also includes generating a measure of a difference between a form of the user performing the repetitive movement and a predetermined form for the repetitive movement. A corrective movement is displayed to the user, via the display and during the display of the instructor performing the repetitive movement, based on the measure, to conform the form of the user to the predetermined form for the repetitive movement.
Lighting system and method of using same with exercise and rehabilitation equipment
A treadmill includes a frame and a running belt coupled to the frame. The running belt is configured to rotate relative to the frame. The treadmill includes a controller coupled to the frame, and at least one sensor coupled to the controller. The at least one sensor is configured to collect information regarding a rotation of the running belt and a use of the treadmill by a user including a cadence, a ground contact time, and a stride length of the user of the treadmill. The treadmill further includes a display device coupled to the frame. The display device is configured to display the collected information regarding the rotation of the running belt, the cadence, the ground contact time, and the stride length of the user of the treadmill. At least one light source is configured to selectively emit a light regarding the treadmill.
Climbing exercise machine
An exercise machine creates a simulated continuous resisted climbing motion. The machine includes a floor- or ground-contacting base frame and two or more substantially vertically oriented uprights, wherein at least one upright is rigidly connected to the base frame. The machine further includes two handles and two foot pedals, each handle and each foot pedal being movably engaged with an upright for linear reciprocating motion along the upright. The handles and foot pedals are interconnected so that they move concurrently. An adjustable resistance mechanism may be operatively connected to the interconnection of the handles and foot pedals to provide adjustable resistance for the simulated continuous climbing motion.
