Various improvements in fitness devices are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method is disclosed including reading performance data from an exercise device; adjusting a visual output of one or more visual output devices (VODs) attached to a mechanical element of the exercise device; and synchronizing the visual output of the one or more VODs in response to a change in the performance data.

PORTABLE RESISTANCE-BASED EXERCISE MACHINE AND SYSTEM

An exercise system that may be rail-less, frameless, and/or portable is described. The exercise system includes a carriage having a plurality of wheels and a stationary platform. The stationary platform is independent of and separate from the carriage, and the stationary platform is freestanding. At least one tension member having a first end is attached to the carriage and a second end is detachably attached to the platform such that the carriage is movable on a horizontal plane parallel to a ground surface while the stationary platform remains in a fixed position.

A step exercise apparatus with a self-centering pedal system. The system comprising a frame and a seat supported from the frame. A first pedal assembly and a second pedal assembly are pivotally supported from the frame positioned so as to be manipulable by a user seated in the seat. A linkage is positioned in communication with the first pedal assembly and the second pedal assembly such that movement of either pedal assembly in a first direction causes movement of the other pedal assembly in a second direction opposite of the first direction. A brake is preferably employed for resisting motion of the first pedal assembly and the second pedal assembly in at least the first direction. A centering system positions the first and second pedal assemblies in a substantially central position when not being manipulated by the user.

The fitness display apparatus comprises an outer housing provided on guide rails (1) and capable of moving under the limit of the guide rails (1); a display screen (14) is provided on the outer housing, the outer housing is internally provided with a generator (11), a PCB (12), a tension sensor (9) and a rechargeable battery (10), the PCB (12) is provided with a charging circuit and a control chip; the generator (11) is connected to the rechargeable battery (10) by means of the charging circuit; a rotor of the generator (11) is in contact with the guide rails (1), and when the outer housing moves, the rotor of the generator (11) rotates; the rechargeable battery (10) is electrically connected to the PCB (12); the tension sensor (9) and the display screen (14) are respectively electrically connected to the PCB (12); and the tension sensor (9) is provided between an external device and a load bearing rod (3). By providing a display unit, exercise data can be intuitively displayed; obtained data can be sent to a mobile device or a cloud by means of a wireless module, and an exercise process is accurately described in combination with a suitable APP and other software, laying a foundation for datamation of training processes and training effects.

TRAINING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CORRECTING FORCE

Provided is a training device that suppresses unintended operation of an operation rod when executing an operation mode in which the operation of the operation rod is controlled based on a force applied to the operation rod. The training device includes the operation rod, a motor, a force detection unit, a rotation information output sensor, a first command calculation unit, and a force correction unit. The operation rod moves a limb. The motor operates the operation rod in a direction of degree of freedom. The force detection unit detects a force component and outputs a force component signal. The rotation information output sensor detects an operation position of the operation rod in a corresponding direction of degree of freedom. The force correction unit calculates a corrected force component value based on the operation positions of the operation rod and the force component signal. The first command calculation unit calculates a first motor control command based on the corrected force component value.

Method of controlling an exercise apparatus

A method for controlling an exercise apparatus via a control interface of an exercise apparatus, including steps of controlling a touch screen to display an information field, and then monitoring the touch screen to detect whether a touch has occurred on the surface of the touch screen and whether the touch is located in an input zone which has a plurality of sensing areas in the information field. A user can use specific actions to operate the exercise apparatus from one condition of using a first speed value to another condition of using a second speed value.

Reflective video display apparatus for interactive training and demonstration and methods of using same

An interactive exercise method includes streaming exercise content to an interactive video system for display via a mirror, the exercise content including a depiction of an instructor performing a repetitive movement. A video stream of a user performing the repetitive movement is received, via a camera of the interactive video system, and the user is detected in the video stream. The user or a body portion thereof is tracked in the video stream as the user performs the repetitive movement. The method also includes generating a measure of a difference between a form of the user performing the repetitive movement and a predetermined form for the repetitive movement. A corrective movement is displayed to the user, via the display and during the display of the instructor performing the repetitive movement, based on the measure, to conform the form of the user to the predetermined form for the repetitive movement.
