A virtual reality (VR) system comprising a head-mounted display (HMD) and handheld controller set is enhanced to provide a more realistic end user VR experience, e.g., for boxing or other interactive training. In this approach, and in lieu of simply establishing a boundary area for the VR experience, the user also maps a position of a real-world object into a reference frame of the VR environment. This mapping is facilitated using the handheld controller itself, e.g., as positioned in a backwards-facing manner on the user's forearm. The real-world object is then simulated in the 3D VR environment as rendered by the VR HMD, and the user interacts with the real-world object (or its simulation) to provide a more enjoyable and useful interactive experience.

A display method for outputting a result of scoring for a performance of a scoring competition, the display method includes obtaining input information regarding to the scoring competition, obtaining a recognition result of a plurality of elements included in the performance, determining a difficulty level of each of the plurality of elements based on the recognition result and a first rule, limiting a target to be used for the scoring to a part of the plurality of elements according to the difficulty level of each of the plurality of elements, and outputting a scoring screen that includes a first display area displaying the plurality of elements and the difficulty level, a second display area for an aggregate result, third display area for a score of the performance directed to the limited part of the elements, and a fourth display area for a 3D model of the athlete.

SCORING SYSTEM OF AUTOMATICALLY DETECTING BODY MOTION, SCORING METHOD OF AUTOMATICALLY DETECTING BODY MOTION, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
20220143484 · 2022-05-12 ·

A scoring system of automatically detecting body motion includes a storage, a first motion sensor, and a processor. The storage is configured to store standard motion signal data corresponding to a multimedia signal, which the standard motion signal data includes a plurality of scoring segments, and the plurality of scoring segments are generated according to beat data of the multimedia signal and the standard motion signal data. The first motion sensor is configured to receive a first sensing signal, which the first sensing signal is generated by a set of user-motion according to the multimedia signal. The processor is configured to recognize user's motion signal of the first sensing signal and acquire to-be-scored-motion signal data corresponding to the plurality of scoring segments; and compare the to-be-scored-motion signal data corresponding to each of the plurality of scoring segments with the standard motion signal data to generate a score.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASSESSING BALANCE AND FORM DURING BODY MOVEMENT

The disclosure relates to a system for evaluating movement of a body of a user. The system may include a video display, one or more digital cameras, and a processor. The processor may control the one or more cameras to generate images of at least the part of the body over a period of time. The processor may estimate a position of a plurality of joints of the body. The processor may receive a selection of a tracked pose, and determine, from the plurality of joints, a set of joints associated with the tracked pose. The processor may generate at least one joint vector connecting joints in the set of joints, and assign, based on changes in the joint vector over the period of time, a form score to a performance of the tracked pose. The processor may then generate a user interface that depicts the form score.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OPTIMIZING COLLECTION OF DATA TO DETECT AN OCCURANCE IN A LIVE EVENT

The invention provides methods and system for providing optimized collection of data to detect an occurrence in a live event. A request is transmitted by a server, based on the machine learning, to activate at least one edge device located in a live event. Upon receipt of the request from the server, the at least one edge device captures at least one data of the live event. The data is captured by the at least one edge device using at least one sensor. The captured data is then transmitted by the one edge device to at least one node unit or directly to a server. The node unit may transmit the captured data or a processed data to the server. Thereafter, the server processes the data received by at least one of edge device or the node unit to detect an occurrence in the live event.
