Method for manufacturing a coil element assembly
A coil module includes a coil conductor including a plurality of coil elements and a plurality of wire electrodes disposed on a circuit board, each of the plurality of coil elements including a pair of leg portions and a bridge portion connecting one end portions of the pair of leg portions together, the plurality of coil elements being disposed to cross a winding axis. A method for manufacturing the coil module includes an assembly forming step of integrating the plurality of coil elements with resin to form a coil element assembly, and a conductor forming step of mounting the coil element assembly on the circuit board to complete the coil conductor wound about the winding axis. In the conductor forming step, the resin is introduced into a die set in which the plurality of coil elements are arranged to form a block, to thus form the coil element assembly.
Inductor with embedded symmetric resonant circuit
Radio frequency filtering circuitry blocks certain frequencies in an outgoing signal so that the signal may be transmitted over a desired frequency. The radio frequency filtering circuitry includes a first inductor having a first coil and a second inductor coupled to and disposed within the first coil. The second inductor has a second coil and a third coil symmetrical to the second coil. When current is applied to the radio frequency filtering circuitry, the current in the second coil causes a first induced current in the first coil and the current in the third coil causes a second induced current in the first coil, wherein the second induced current is approximately equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to the first induced current. As such, the second induced current may compensate for the first induced current.
MAGNETIC PART USING WINDING COIL AND PATTERN COIL
A magnetic part according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a printed circuit board; a pattern coil formed on at least a surface of the printed circuit board; a core passing through the printed circuit board; and at least one winding coil disposed on at least a surface from among one surface and the other surface of the printed circuit board.
Coil component and method for manufacturing the same
A coil component includes a main body portion containing resin, a coil provided in the main body portion, and an outer electrode electrically connected to the coil. A recess extending from a top surface of the main body portion toward a bottom surface thereof is provided in the side surface of the main body portion. The outer electrode is disposed in the recess, and a wall layer is interposed between the outer electrode and the inner surface of the recess.
COIL DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A coil device has a plate-like element body having a main surface, a back surface, and an end surface, a helical coil provided in the element body and having a coil axis extending between the main surface and the back surface, and a connection terminal provided on the back surface or the end surface of the element body and connected to the helical coil. As for a conductor constituting the helical coil, a plurality of conductor portions extending along the main surface are comprised of a plurality of metal pins, respectively.
COIL ELEMENT ASSEMBLY, COIL MODULE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A coil module includes a coil conductor including a plurality of coil elements and a plurality of wire electrodes disposed on a circuit board, each of the plurality of coil elements including a pair of leg portions and a bridge portion connecting one end portions of the pair of leg portions together, the plurality of coil elements being disposed to cross a winding axis.
EMBEDDED MAGNETIC COMPONENT TRANSFORMER DEVICE
An embedded magnetic component transformer device includes primary, secondary, and auxiliary windings that are defined by conductive vias connected by conductive traces. The conductive traces and vias of the auxiliary winding are arranged between the conductive traces and vias of respective first and second portions of the primary winding, so that the auxiliary winding is provided substantially in the center of the width of the PCB. Power connections are provided at respective opposing edges of the device, and surface mounted transistors are provided close to the primary winding portions between the auxiliary winding and the edge of the device. The device provides an efficient utilization of the surface conductive traces such that large areas of the surface remain for other functions, such as ground plates. The thermal properties of the device are balanced by distributing the transistors and the power connections.
Inductors for integrated voltage regulators
An active component of an integrated voltage regulator (IVR) circuit is deployed within an IC device for regulating an operating voltage thereof. An interposer interconnects the IC device with a power source. A passive inductive component of the IVR circuit is deployed upon a surface of the IC device or the interposer. The inductive component has a magnetic core and a winding (e.g., wire-bond), wound about the magnetic core.
ELECTROMAGNETIC COIL CONSTRUCTED FROM CONDUCTIVE TRACES ON PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS
Traces, vias, or other conductive paths are formed on or through printed circuit boards or other insulating substrates to function as loops of an electromagnetic coil. The substrate itself insulates one side of each loop except at the inter-loop connection point, allowing the loops to be connected directly to each other. A ratio of trace width to depth may be selected to prevent or mitigate skin-effect losses at high operating frequencies. Nested sleeves on an insulated housing lengthen the surface distance between the coil and any nearby conductor such as an interior core or winding, presenting an effective obstacle to surface flashover between the coil and the nearby conductor. Optionally, field-shaping electrodes at the ends of the coil may discourage breakdown by reducing the electric field magnitude. Trace-based electromagnetic coils used as secondary windings in high-power transformers may be smaller than traditional wire-wound secondaries meeting similar voltage hold-off requirements.
EMBEDDED COIL ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MAKING
An embedded coil assembly embodiment includes a ferrite ring having an annular axis. The ferrite ring is positioned on a conductive metal surface. A plurality of separate, spaced apart conductive structures extend over the ferrite ring and are attached to the conductive metal surface in a first region of the conductive surface positioned radially outwardly of the annular axis of the ferrite ring and in a second region of the conductive surface positioned radially inwardly of the annular axis of the ferrite ring. An encapsulation layer covers, the ferrite ring and at least a portion of the plurality of conductive structures.
