Electronic component including planar transformer
An electronic component 100 includes: a circuit board module 104 which is composed of a plurality of layers, and in which a primary circuit 120 and secondary circuits 122, 124 are each formed using wring patterns of a first layer L1 to an eighth layer L8; and a magnetic core 106 which magnetically couples the primary circuit 120 and the secondary circuits 122, 124. The circuit board module 104 includes: a primary winding 120b and secondary windings 122b, 124b which are formed spirally around the magnetic core 106; and a third layer L3 and a sixth layer L6 interposed between a fourth layer L4 of the primary winding 120b and a second layer L2 of the secondary winding 122b and between a fifth layer L5 of the primary winding 120b and a seventh layer L7 of the secondary winding 124b.
Transformer apparatus and method for manufacturing it
A transformer apparatus (200) comprising a transformer core (210), at least one primary winding and at least one secondary winding. The transformer apparatus (200) also comprises an insert element (220), in which the at least one primary winding is arranged, and one printed circuit board (230), in which the at least one secondary winding is arranged. The insert element (220), the circuit board (230) and the transformer core (210) can hereby be coupled together or are coupled together.

A surface mount coil component includes an element body with a first surface, a second surface that opposes the first surface, and a third surface connecting the first surface and the second surface, the element body being defined by a compact including magnetic particles; a first conductor pattern provided at the first surface of the element body; a second conductor pattern provided at the second surface of the element body; input/output terminals provided at the third surface of the element body; and metal pins embedded in the element body, ends of each metal pin being connected to the first and second conductor patterns. The first conductor pattern, the second conductor pattern, and the metal pins define a coil conductor. The input/output terminals are defined by a pair of metal pins exposed at the third surface.
TECHNIQUES FOR AN INDUCTOR AT A FIRST LEVEL INTERFACE
Techniques are provided for an inductor at a first level interface between a first die and a second die. In an example, the inductor can include a winding and a core disposed inside the winding. The winding can include first conductive traces of a first die, second conductive traces of a second die, and a plurality of connectors configured to connect the first die with the second die. Each connector of the plurality of connecters can be located between a trace of the first conductive traces and a corresponding trace of the second conductive traces.

A power conversion device includes an electronic component, a first printed board, a first cooling body, a second printed board, a second cooling body, a third printed board, and a third cooling body. The second cooling body extends from a second principal surface toward a first principal surface of the first printed board. The third cooling body extends from a second principal surface toward the first principal surface of the first printed board.
Voltage regulator module
A voltage regulator module includes a circuit board, a metallic winding assembly, a switching circuit and a magnetic core assembly. The circuit board includes an accommodation space, a first surface and a second surface. The accommodation space is formed within the circuit board and in communication with a first opening and a second opening. The metallic winding assembly includes third opening. A projection region of the switching circuit and a projection region of the metallic winding assembly on the first surface are partially overlapped with each other. The magnetic core assembly includes an upper core, a lower core and a lateral leg. The upper core and the lower core are disposed on the circuit board. The lateral leg is penetrated through the first opening, the third opening and the second opening. An inductor is defined by the magnetic core assembly and the metallic winding assembly collaboratively.

An apparatus is provided which comprises: a planar dielectric surface, two or more conductive leads on the surface, the conductive leads extending away from the substrate surface, two or more conductive traces on the surface between the conductive leads, the traces substantially parallel to each other, and a wire coupling a first end of a first conductive trace to an opposite end of an adjacent second conductive trace, the wire extending away from the surface. MAGNETIC COMPONENT AND POWER CONVERSION APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
A magnetic component includes a plurality of coils magnetically coupled with each other; and a core forming a closed magnetic circuit. At least part of portions in inner periphery side regions of respective plurality of coils are arranged overlapping with each other in a coil axial direction. When viewed from the coil axial direction, at least one of the coils is defined as a specific coil, and a region of the specific coil from an inner periphery edge to an outer periphery edge thereof in a coil radial direction is defined as a specific coil region, and the specific coil region has a portion which is not overlapped with at least one coil in the coil axial direction other than the specific coil that constitutes the specific coil region, in a region from the inner periphery edge to the outer periphery edge thereof in the coil radial direction.

Embodiments disclosed herein include electronic packages and methods of forming such packages. In an embodiment, an electronic package comprises a package substrate and a first region in the package substrate. In an embodiment, the first region comprises first conductive routing. The electronic package may further comprise a second region in the package substrate. In an embodiment, the second region comprises second conductive routing. In an embodiment, the second conductive routing is embedded in a magnetic material.

A voltage regulator module includes a circuit board assembly and a magnetic core assembly. The circuit board assembly includes a circuit board and 2N switching circuits. The circuit board includes a plurality of conductive structures. The magnetic core assembly includes an upper core, a lower core and 2N lateral legs. The 2N lateral legs are arranged between the upper core and the lower core. The 2N lateral legs are penetrated through the corresponding conductive structures. The 2N switching circuits are divided into N switching circuit groups. Each switching circuit group includes two parallel-connected switching circuits. The N switching circuit groups and the magnetic core assembly are arranged on the circuit board along a first direction. The N switching circuit groups are arranged one the circuit board along a second direction.
