Sheet metal construction is described for achieving high strength at low weight for a power reactor and for an impedance injection module incorporating the power reactor. Clamping plates are used to retain the core and the windings of the reactor. Integrated features of a specialized frame of the impedance injection module include flanges for structural rigidity, a convenient yoke plate for lifting by crane, feet for mounting insulators, and sufficient strength to maintain mechanical integrity during normal operation and also during fault conditions. The specialized frame provides a light weight assembly suitable for mounting on power transmission lines as well as on ground assemblies. The specialized frame can reduce the cost of the total enclosure to around 25% of the cost and 50% of the weight of an equivalent conventional enclosure. An insulation topology is also described.

A multiple parallel conductor that is easy to produce and use and has a plurality of twisted, insulated individual conductors. The individual conductors are arranged above one another in a plurality of sub-conductor bundles arranged next to one another. A strip is applied to the multiple parallel conductor on a side surface of the multiple parallel conductor in the longitudinal direction of the multiple parallel conductor, on which strip spacer plates are arranged so as to be distributed in the longitudinal direction, and the multiple parallel conductor together with the strip and the spacer plates is wrapped with a wrapping.

COIL COMPONENT

First and second wires form a wire assembly by being wound around a winding core portion together. The wire assembly includes a twisted wire portion, an inner layer portion, an outer layer portion, a plurality of outward transition portions, and an inward transition portion. The outer layer portion includes a first outer layer portion which is connected to one of the outward transition portions extending from an intermediate position of the inner layer portion and connected to the inward transition portion. The inward transition portion extends to an intermediate position of the inner layer portion.

CONTINUOUSLY TRANSPOSED CABLE WITH AN INTEGRATED SENSING DEVICE

A continuously transposed cable CTC, extending according to a longitudinal development direction (L) and having two opposite longitudinal ends, includes a plurality of strands arranged so to form at least a first and a second adjacent stacks, each extending along the longitudinal development direction (L), wherein said at least first and second stacks form a longitudinal interface therebetween. The CTC cable (1) further includes one or more optical fibers positioned at the interface between the first and the second stacks.
