Multi-functional weight rack and exercise monitoring system for tracking exercise movements
10737140 · 2020-08-11 · ·

Systems and methods for tracking user movement during physical fitness activities are presented. A camera tracks movements of objects of interest in a field of view thereof during an exercise routine to log, instruct and provide feedback data to assist the user in reaching fitness goals. The user can also share his data with friends or teammates, for example through social media or in a client-server environment.

Networked exercise devices with shared virtual training
10716969 · 2020-07-21 · ·

A system having networked exercise devices that can have a shared virtual exercise session for training, collaboration or competition. The exercise devices each have adjustable difficulty setting and a touch screen for displaying different virtual exercise sessions. The touch screen can display a representation, such as one or more avatars, that represent users of the exercise devices, and that have a virtual speed in proportion to exercise performance on the exercise devices. Dynamic adjustment can be made based on the collective performance of the exercise devices, to cause a same adjustment to a respective current difficulty setting of at least one, two or more exercise devices during the shared virtual exercise session. Virtual training can be provided by way of a chaser animation that chases the representation of the exercise devices, the chaser animation having a virtual speed in dependence of exercise performance of users of the exercise devices.

SPORTS MATCH REFEREEING SYSTEM

A system for refereeing a sports match including a portable processing device for compiling data associated with the sports match and eyeglasses including data display means for displaying the data associated with the sports match to a wearer of the eyeglasses.

Systems and methods for coordinating musculoskeletal and cardiovascular hemodynamics
10674958 · 2020-06-09 · ·

Described herein are systems and methods for favorably coordinating a timing relationship between a musculoskeletal activity cycle and a cardiac cycle of a user. A method may include repetitively detecting a signal that correlates to a blood volume in the user; determining an actual value of the signal that varies with the timing relationship; computing a trend of the actual value of the signal; and adjusting the movement guidance based on the trend of the actual value. A system may include a prompt device configured to provide recurrently a movement guidance to the user for guiding performance of the rhythmic musculoskeletal activity; a sensor configured to provide a signal that correlates to a blood volume in the user; and a processor configured to determine an actual value of the signal that varies with the timing relationship and to adjust the movement guidance based on the trend of the actual value.

SYSTEM FOR MEASURING, MONITORING AND DISPLAYING PHYSICAL PARAMETERS OF EXERCISES ON SELECTORIZED FITNESS MACHINES

A system for measuring, displaying, storing and utilizing user-specific exercise data from selectorized fitness machines, including the weight, repetitions, and any other physical parameters derivable from the weight and displacement of the weight stack. The system is comprised of two coupled sensor systems: an infrared sensor and multiple Hall effect sensors. The sensors are mounted to an adjustable stand that can be retrofitted to any selectorized fitness machine. The system analyzes the measurements and sends the data to a server for storage on a per-user basis. Users are identified by a near-field communication (NFC) tag or facial recognition. The system uses an innovative coupled NFC/QR/facial recognitionBluetooth paradigm to transmit exercise data in real-time to the Bluetooth-enabled mobile device of the user. A mobile application allows users to view the exercise data, to follow predefined workout plan, and to retrieve stored data from a remote server.

RACKING AND UNRACKING EXERCISE MACHINE

An indication is received from a user to rack or unrack a digital weight. A motor is signaled to apply or remove tension to a cable couple to the motor based at least in part on the indication. The actuator is connected to the cable and is physically arranged to deliver a force to the user. The motor selectively tensions a cable in accordance with an exercise program.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

There is provided a novel and improved information processing apparatus capable of feeding back a running and walking state to a user in real time and being easily used. The information processing apparatus includes a sensing information acquisition unit that acquires sensing information from a single or a plurality of sensors worn on a body of a user who is running or walking, an estimation unit that estimates a grounding state of a foot of the user from the sensing information, and a notification unit that notifies information regarding a running and walking state of the user on the basis of the estimated grounding state.

Indoor training bicycle device

An indoor, stationary, bicycle training device that provides advantages over conventional designs of exercise bicycles is provided. The stationary bicycle may include a tilting/pivoting mechanism to orient the indoor bicycle to simulate descending or climbing. The indoor bicycle may include flexible and resilient frame elements to support the indoor training device to move side-to-side under some riding situations thereby simulating the side-to-side swaying motion of an outdoor bicycle under the same riding situations. The indoor bicycle may include several combinations of frame adjustments to provide configurable dimensions of the indoor bicycle to adjust the frame to properly fit the rider, which may be adjusted based on corresponding dimensions of a user's outdoor bicycle. Still other aspects of the stationary bicycle device may aid in creating an outdoor feeling while using the device.

VIDEO-BASED MOTION COUNTING AND ANALYSIS SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VIRTUAL FITNESS APPLICATION

A computer-implemented method for video processing is disclosed. The method includes receiving an input video of one or more persons from a camera; detecting a sequence of human poses in the input video using an artificial intelligence (AI) based technique; selecting a proper pose from among multiple poses in a given frame of the input video, to generate a sequence of proper poses; detecting one or more key points in the sequence of proper poses; computing changes in coordinates of the one or more key points; computing a function of the changes in the coordinates of the one or more key points in the sequence of proper poses; counting a given user movement as a repetitive motion of an activity based on the function; and computing a plurality of statistics about the activity based on the counting. In some embodiments, the activity is running, jogging, walking, jumping, performing jumping jacks, squatting, and/or dribbling
