REPETITION PHASE DETECTION
Controlling an exercise machine includes receiving a stream of measurements of extension of a component of an exercise machine. It further includes detecting a first phase of a repeated motion. It further includes detecting a transition to a second phase of the repeated motion. A time constraint is applied to the detection of the transition to the second phase of the repeated motion. It further includes controlling a resistance associated with the second phase of the repeated motion.
EXERCISE MACHINE CONTROLS
A method includes providing a first video file to a plurality of exercise machines, the first video file including content associated with an exercise class. The method also includes receiving user data from the plurality of exercise machines, the user data including respective settings associated with a common performance metric. In such a method, the respective settings are used on the plurality of exercise machines during playback of a particular part of the first video file. The method also includes identifying a timestamp associated with the particular part of the first video file, and generating an executable control corresponding to the performance metric. The method further includes generating a second video file comprising the content and the executable control. In such methods, playback of the second video file causes display of the executable control at a part of the second video file corresponding to the timestamp.
Exoskeleton Fitness Device for Exercising the Human Body
An exoskeleton fitness device, particularly for exercising a human body, comprises a wearable structure having at least one fastening member, the at least one fastening member configured to fasten the wearable structure to a user's body, at least one mechanical joint having at least one axis of rotation and at least one degree-of-freedom, the at least one mechanical joint fastened to the wearable structure, at least one unit for generating a rotational resistance that counteracts a rotational movement of the at least one mechanical joint, and a controller for controlling the rotational resistance, wherein the controller is configured to control the rotational resistance according to a user setting.
SENSOR-OPERATED BASKETBALL TRAINING SYSTEM
Provided is a sensor-operated basketball training system that includes a base unit and a satellite unit both providing upright support to the system on a flat surface, each of the base unit and the satellite unit having a leg portion adjustable in a vertical direction to correspond to a height of a user and the satellite unit includes a satellite sensor for emitting a signal(s) and the base unit having a base sensor for receiving signals from the satellite sensor, a retractable drawstring to be extended to connect to the satellite unit in parallel with the signal(s) transmitted to the base unit from the satellite unit, a timer to track time, and a digital counter which counts a total number of times the user performs a basketball operation (e.g., a dribbling operation) and interferes with or blocks the signal transmitted to the base unit during a time period tracked.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING AN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ENGINE TO OPTIMIZE A TREATMENT PLAN
A method for updating a treatment plan. The treatment plan is associated with a user using a treatment apparatus to perform the treatment plan. The method includes receiving first data associated with a first diagnosis of the user. The method includes generating, based on the first data, an initial treatment plan to be performed on the treatment apparatus by the user. The method includes receiving second data associated with a first attribute of the user. The method includes generating, via an artificial intelligence engine, a machine learning model trained to generate an updated treatment plan based on the initial treatment plan and the second data.
Selectively adjustable resistance assemblies and methods of use for exercise machines
The present invention relates to selectively adjustable speed and incline levels for treadmills. An example treadmill includes a platform around which a belt rotates, a drive motor for controlling a speed of rotation of the belt, a linear motor for controlling an incline of the platform, a human machine interface configured to receive from a user a first selection regarding at least one of the speed of rotation of the belt and the incline of the platform, at least one manual lever configured to receive from the user a second selection to respectively refine the first selection, and at least one controller that selectively changes the speed of rotation of the belt or the incline of the platform based on the first selection received by the human machine interface, and selectively and respectively refines the first selection based on the second selection received by the at least one manual lever.
Video rebroadcasting with multiplexed communications and display via smart mirrors, and smart weight integration
A method includes causing display, during a first time period and via a first set of multiple smart mirrors, of live video depicting at least one user associated with the first set of multiple smart mirrors, without displaying a workout video. The method also includes causing display, during a second time period following and mutually exclusive of the first time period, and via a second set of multiple smart mirrors, of a workout video and a representation of at least one user associated with the second set of smart mirrors. The method also includes causing display, during a third time period following and mutually exclusive of the second time period, and via a third set of multiple smart mirrors, of live video depicting at least one user associated with the third set of multiple smart mirrors.
HOCKEY PUCK
A hockey puck (1) comprising an accelerometer (101) arranged in a recess (5) of a puck body (3). The accelerometer (101) is configured to measure the acceleration of the hockey puck (1) in at least one direction in x-y-z coordinates. The hockey puck further comprises a power supply (25) and a control unit (109) configured to read sensor input from the accelerometer (101) and to provide a control unit output based on said sensor input.
Ball retrieval system and method
A tennis ball retriever for retrieving a tennis ball on and about a tennis court and for controllably releasing the ball includes a front-end ball collector having two spaced-apart blades defining a ball collection space. The retriever includes a means for gripping and securing a ball positioned at the fore end, and one or more detents for retaining the collected ball in the collection space until a programmed or manually-directed release toward a target location such as a tennis baseline. The retriever includes a processor-controller for controlling and directing the retriever during a retrieval session. The retriever may be remote-controlled such as by voice commands.
