Water Sports Nasal Guard
A water sports nasal guard prevents unwanted contaminated water from entering a user's nostrils. The water sports nasal guard includes a mouth guard, an upper tongue shield, a lower tongue shield, and a nostril shield. The mouth guard allows the user to bite down on the water sports nasal guard, thereby upholding the nostril shield against the nasal passages of the user. The nostril shield presses up against the openings of the user's nasal passages. The mouth guard further includes an arch-shaped body, an upper teeth receptacle, and a lower teeth receptacle. The arch-shaped body positions the upper teeth receptacle and the lower teeth receptacle opposite to each other, both of which accommodate the upper teeth and lower teeth of the user. The upper tongue shield and the lower tongue shield prevent the user's tongue from coming between the teeth of the user and the mouth guard.
Athletic protective mouthpiece and lip shield apparatus
This invention is an athletic protective mouthpiece and lip shield apparatus used in contact sports and is designed to attach to a helmet's chin strap. The mouthpiece, Air Channel, and Lip Shield structures are particularly designed to comfortably protect both upper and lower jaw of the athlete while removing unwanted impact stress from the front teeth (Incisors) and placing such stress to the stronger Cuspid and Molars regions of the athlete's dentures. This invention solves the problems of airflow restriction and impact stress of the front teeth from other athletic mouthpieces by removing the position of the Incisors from atop the breathing orifice to behind said orifice, whereby providing an improved larger non-condensing airway for the passing of unrestricted airflow. The apparatus is designed to pivot and operate by way of an attachment strap affixed to the Lip shield and fitted into an opening on the helmet's chin strap.
BREATHING ASSIST DEVICE
An apparatus is provided for breathing assistance that includes a body for positioning within an oral cavity of a user, the body defining at least one first opening for allowing airflow between lips of the user. Two second openings are provided in the oral cavity to allow air flow into and out of a posterior region of the oral cavity and two channels, each channel connecting a respective second opening to the at least one first opening and each channel passing at least one of at least partially along the buccal cavity and at least partially between the teeth to thereby provide an airway for the user. The airway at least partially bypasses the nasal passage and acts to replicate a healthy nasal passage and pharyngeal space.
MOUTHGUARD
A mouthguard includes a pair of spaced lateral bite wings and a channel. Each lateral bite wing includes an upper dental occlusal surface, a lower dental occlusal surface, a front portion, and a rear portion. The channel is positioned between the front portions of the lateral bite wings and includes a front end, a rear end, an upper wall and a lower wall. A support portion extends from the front end to the rear end to form a pair of airways within the channel. The support portion ensures that the upper wall and lower wall are sufficiently supported under the user's biting force to prevent deformation and narrowing of the airways, thereby ensuring unobstructed breathing for the user.
Heat mouldable mouth guard
The present disclosure relates to heat mouldable mouth guards, to methods for using the mouth guards, and to methods for producing the mouth guards. In certain embodiments, the present disclosure provides a heat mouldable mouth guard, the mouth guard comprising: an inner framework comprising a semi-rigid thermoplastic; and an outer layer comprising an elastomeric thermoplastic which has a melting temperature higher than the semi-rigid thermoplastic of the inner framework, wherein the outer layer substantially encapsulates the inner framework.
