DEVICE FOR PROVIDING A MEASURED VERTICAL DIMENSION OF OCCLUSION
Devices and methods for treating respiratory problems of a subject, such as those related to sleep apnea, are presented herein. An implementation of a device may be configured to provide a measured vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO) and/or mandibular advancement in a subject. Methods for treating a subject through the use of the device may include systematically increasing and/or decreasing the measured VDO provided by the device.
INTERCHANGEABLE MOUTH SHIELD
The interchangeable mouth shields disclosed herein include a lip-anterior portion and teeth tray that can be releasably coupled together. The lip-anterior portion includes a panel positioned anterior to a lip shield. The panel can be customized to be different shapes and have decorative features. The interchangeable mouth shield includes a vent enabling a user to breathing through the interchangeable mouth shield during use. The teeth tray can be selectively flavored.
MOUTH GUARD WITH BREATHING CHANNEL
Embodiments of the present disclosure describe a mouth guard having a multiple chamber air channel allowing the user to mouth breathe during use. The air channel includes a forward air chamber and a pair of rear chambers. A support structure forms a divide between the pair of rear chambers with the front air chamber being generally unobstructed. The support structure may be relatively narrow and positioned rearward of an upper lingual ridge of the mouth guard.
Wirelessly capable sports mouthguard for communication
A mouthguard configured to receive wireless audio signals and transmit these audio signals to a user via bone conduction may include one or more wireless antenna, a controller, a power storage device, an external power and/or data port, and one or more bone conduction speakers. The mouthguard is inserted in the user's mouth to protect against dental injuries as well as to enable communication between the user and a remote audio source. The inner surface of the mouthguard contacts the user's teeth for transmitting audio content to the user and audio content is transmitted to the wireless antenna of the mouthguard.
Mouthguard with magnetic tethering
A dual layer mouthguard with a U-shape polycarbonate/EVA skeletal base includes channels and ramps to ensure a uniform thickness on the occlusal, buccal and lingual surfaces of the teeth for proper alignment of the jaw and positioning for protection during the placement of the mouthguard. The liner is softer than the base when introduced to heat and remains softer as it is cooled. The base may also include metal/magnetic insertion to serve as a tethering device for temporary storage.
MOUTHGUARD WITH HYDRATION SYSTEM
A mouthguard with a hydration system that combines protection to the users mouth and teeth, with a simple way to drink liquids while engaged in physical sports. The system comprises a mouthguard with a valve, a pressurized canister of fluid, and a tube that connects them together. The normally closed valve holds back the pressurized fluid, and is opened by the user with a push of their tongue. This enables the user to drink while engaged in heavy sports activity, such as ice hockey.

Breakaway Device for Mouthguard
A breakaway device for a mouthguard is provided, having a lanyard assembly couplable to a mouthguard assembly. The lanyard assembly includes a mouthguard tether couplable to the mouthguard assembly, and a neck tether that can be worn around a user's neck. The lanyard assembly also includes front and rear breakaway connectors, such that when a tensile force is exerted on the mouthguard tether or the neck tether, one or both of the breakaway connectors detaches before the mouthguard tether or neck tether separates.
Mouth-guard with insert
A mouth-guard to be worn by a user includes a main body including a channel, one or more gum protrusions, and a slot; and an insert configured to be inserted into the slot. The insert for the mouth-guard includes one or more liquid chambers and one or more initial orifices on the surface of the insert where each initial orifice is configured to transport liquid from the one or more liquid chambers to an orifice of the main body such that the liquid passes through the orifice of the main body into a user's mouth.
SEQUENTIAL SPORTS GUARD
The present invention provides protective repositioning appliances, accommodating mouth guards, and covering guards that protect an orthodontic patient against impact-induced injuries, as well as related systems and methods. A protective appliance can include teeth receiving cavities shaped to receive and reposition a patient's teeth and can include an occlusal portion having an impact-absorbing compliance. An accommodating mouth guard can include teeth receiving cavities shaped to accommodate a patient's teeth from a first arrangement to a second arrangement and can include an occlusal portion having an impact-absorbing compliance. A covering guard can include a guard segment that covers at least a portion of an appliance. The combination of a guard segment and an appliance can provide an occlusal compliance that absorbs impacts.
