UPPER TORSO COVERING WITH INTEGRATED HYDRATION APPARATUS
A combined upper torso covering having a hydration assembly secured thereto which includes a camelback to provide a hydration source for users of the arrangement. In one embodiment the upper torso covering is an athletic chest protector.
Punchwrap
Disclosed is a punching bag that can transform into body armor for fighter training.
Non-newtonian materials for the prevention of mild traumatic brain injury
An improved design for an athletic helmet incorporating non-Newtonian fluid shock absorbing structures.
BOXING GAMING DEVICE
The present invention provides a gaming system for playing a boxing inspired game. The gaming device includes two vests that communicate with each other and keep score via wireless technology. The game is played by two players at a time with the general objective being for a player to hit their opponent's vest as many times as possible within the designated time period. The device allows players to engage in three different modes. Score tracking is announced by audio and does not require any additional devices for viewing the score.
System and methods for designing and manufacturing a bespoke protective sports helmet
A bespoke protective sports helmet to be worn by a player engaged in a sporting activity is provided. The bespoke helmet includes i) systems and methods for acquiring, storing and processing a player's unique data, namely the player's anatomical features, where that player is to wear a protective sports helmet, (ii) for systems and methods of using the player's unique data to manufacture a protective sports helmet with a custom formed internal padding assembly that substantially corresponds to the player's unique data, and (iii) a protective sports helmet designed using the acquired and processed unique player's data and including the custom formed internal padding assembly that provides improved fit and comfort for the player. The system and method allows for the design and manufacture of a bespoke protective sports helmet that is purposely designed and manufactured to match the player's anatomical specifications.
GENERIC COMPUTERIZATION SYSTEM FOR GAMES INVOLVING PHYSICAL INTERACTION, SPORTS AND SIMULATIONS
The present patent application for Privilege of Invention, related to the fields of electronic games, data transmission by proximity, wearable technologies and sports, is essentially characterized by an electronic system capable of identifying and generating data related to physical events commonly associated with criteria and rules of sports and games of physical interaction, based on the physical proximity between objects and players. The interaction information between players and/or objects involved in the game is generated from electronic modules installed in them, which can communicate with each other when physically close and via radio with the software developed according to the application. This will process these events according to the rules of the game or sport in question, providing the results in a visual, sound or other method.
Chest protectors for reducing risk of commotio cordis
A chest protector includes a structure for protecting at least a portion of a cardiac silhouette of a user. The structure may include a base assembly, a pivot plate assembly, and a fulcrum block positioned between the pivot plate assembly and the base assembly. The pivot plate assembly is positioned to pivot on the fulcrum block. In some embodiments, the pivot plate assembly and the fulcrum block may include compressible and resilient material. The structure may be shaped, sized, and positioned to coextend with a region of the user's cardiac silhouette. In some embodiments, the pivot plate assembly includes two pivot plate portions oriented at an angle relative to one another. The pivot plate portions may be connected with a flexible hinge, such as a living hinge.
Impact-attenuation sub-layer for a shoulder-pad system
Aspects herein relate to a shoulder-pad system that may be used to attenuate impact in various contexts. The shoulder-pad system may have a number of subcomponents, which may include an impact-plate assembly, an impact-attenuation sub-layer, a base-layer garment, and a securing garment, among others. The shoulder-pad system may be described as modular, in that the various subcomponents may be added to, and/or removed from the system when it is desirable to do so.
Article with a cushioning assembly having inner and outer bladder elements with interfitting features and method of manufacturing an article
An article includes a cushioning assembly which has a first bladder element forming a first fluid chamber, and a second bladder element within the first bladder element and forming a second fluid chamber sealed from and within the first fluid chamber. The first bladder element includes an inner surface having a first feature. The second bladder element includes an outer surface having a second feature. The first feature interfits with the second feature such that a first area of the inner surface of the first bladder element is aligned with a first area of the outer surface of the second bladder element at a bonded interface. The second bladder element is exposed to the first fluid chamber away from the bonded interface. A method of manufacturing the article includes interfitting the first feature with the second feature and bonding at the bonded interface.
Composite foam
Composite materials having superior material properties useful as impact absorbing devices can be fabricated by embedding a lattice structure (e.g., polymer lattice structure) within a foam, so that the foam reinforces the lattice structure under impact. Materials and dimensions of the foam and the lattice structure may be selected to achieve composite materials having tailored impact absorbing elastic and/or viscoelastic responses over a wide range of temperatures.
