Shin Protecting Sock Assembly
20200398142 · 2020-12-24 ·

A shin protecting sock assembly includes a sock that is worn on a user's lower leg and foot during athletic activities. The sock has a pocket and a leg portion. The leg portion has a first grip section to engage the user's lower leg when the sock is worn. In this way the leg portion is inhibited from falling downwardly on the user's lower leg. The leg portion has a second grip section to engage the user's lower leg when the sock is worn. In this way the leg portion is inhibited from falling downwardly on the user's lower leg. A shield is insertable into the pocket such that the shield is positioned over the user's shin when the sock is worn. The shield is comprised of a rigid material to protect the user's shin from impact.

Leg Pad

A leg pad (e.g., a hockey leg pad) for protecting a leg of a user, in which the leg pad is designed to enhance protection and freedom of movement (e.g., during skating strides), such as by providing flexibility of the leg pad proximate to a knee and optionally an ankle of the user (e.g., for extension and optional retraction of one or more parts of the leg pad) to better follow natural movements of the user's leg (e.g., bending of the knee and optional flexion of the ankle of the user).

Impact Absorbing Padding System with Elastomeric Sub-surface Structure

A cushioning and impact absorbing pad system with a surface layer of thickness t, and an elastomeric sub-surface structure of height h. The sub-surface structure comprises an array of elastomeric columns wherein each column has a frustoconical column wall surrounding a central void. In other embodiments, pad thickness and column height are variable to create a surface which follows an anatomical contour.

MODULAR PROTECTIVE SYSTEM FOR JOINTS, METHOD, AND KIT

A modular protective system for protecting a joint of a human or an animal is provided. The modular protective system can include modular pads for attachment to a garment fitted to surround the joint. The modular pads can include an elongated upper pad for positioning above the joint, an elongated lower pad for positioning below the joint, separated from the elongated upper pad, and a flexible and stretchable intermediate pad. The elongated upper pad and the elongated lower pad each include an undersurface for attachment to the garment. The flexible and stretchable intermediate pad can include a top cap portion, for positioning on top of the joint, and two side portions.

COMPOSITE PLATE FOR AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR OR EQUIPMENT

A method for forming a plate includes attaching a first strand portion to a flexible substrate to form a first layer on the substrate and positioning a second strand portion on the first layer to form a second layer on the first layer in a plurality of discrete regions on the substrate. The method also includes positioning a plurality of traction elements into corresponding cavities formed into a first mold surface and positioning the substrate on the first mold surface to change a shape of the substrate. At least one of heat and pressure is applied to the first strand portion, the second strand portion, the substrate, and the traction elements to conform the substrate to the shape of the first mold surface and form the traction elements into the substrate at each of the discrete regions. The method also includes incorporating the substrate into an article of footwear.

FOOTWEAR PLATE

A plate for an article of footwear includes a substrate, a first strand portion attached to the substrate via first stitching, and a second strand portion disposed on the first layer. The first strand portion includes first segments that each extend between two different locations along the substrate to form a first layer on the substrate. The second strand portion includes second segments that each extend between two different locations along the substrate to form a second layer on the first layer.

WEIGHTED WEARABLE TRAINING APPARATUS

A weighted wearable training apparatus has a weight shell with a front surface, a rear surface, a top, a bottom, a first side edge and a second side edge. The weight shell is adapted to cover at least a portion of a user's limb. A plurality of pockets are positioned on the rear surface of the weight shell. At least one removable weight sized to fit within one of the pockets. At least one attachment mechanism is provided for holding the weight shell to the user's limb.

JOINT PROTECTION DEVICE

Provided is a joint protection device, including a joint protection body whose longitudinal and horizontal shapes match a shape of a joint, joint protection body being an integrally formed rigid hollow housing with an opened bottom and including a front supporting portion and side supporting portions respectively wrapping a front surface and side surfaces of joint to provide front and side support for joint; at least one notch being provided in a portion, close to a joint movement area, of joint protection body, and dividing joint protection body into a plurality of joint pieces; adjacent joint pieces being connected by two local junctions respectively provided at appropriate positions on two sides of joint protection body, and capable of rotating with local junctions as rotation fulcrums; and when joint pieces rotate around rotation fulcrums to a limiting position, adjacent joint pieces coming into contact with each other and stopping rotating.

Method for producing 3D objects

The invention relates to a method for producing a three-dimensional object, the outer surface of which has at least one surface section that is generated in that, by means of an additive production method (layer-building forming method), initially a surface section is produced on a flat base plate (5) in two-dimensional form, comprising the following steps: I) applying at least one curable polymer or curable reaction resin with a respective elastic modulus according to DIN 53504 (effective: 18 Apr. 2015) in the cured state, of <250 MPa in fluid form, as material webs onto a flat base plate (5) by means of a layer-building forming method in order to produce a first layer (6); II) applying a second layer (7) onto the first layer (6) by means of the same or another layer-building forming method, like in step I); III) optionally applying between 1 and 48 additional layers according to step II), wherein each new layer is applied onto the respective previous layer; IV) curing the layers; V) releasing the cured surface section from the flat base plate (5); VI) forming the cured surface section into a three-dimensional object; and VII) securing the three-dimensional object.

Footwear plate

A method of forming a plate for an article of footwear is disclosed. The method includes applying a first strand portion to a base layer including positioning adjacent segments of the first strand portion to form a first layer on the base layer. The adjacent segments of the first strand portion having a greater density across a width of the plate between a medial side and a lateral side at a forefoot region of the plate than at a midfoot region of the plate and at a heel region of the plate. The method also includes applying at least one of heat and pressure to the first strand portion and to the base layer to conform the first strand portion and the base layer to a predetermined shape.
