A personal vaporizer mod device includes a switch having a switch button member that carries a first magnet of first polarity. A switch insulator is secured within a switch body and has a central orifice and an internal counterbore section, which receives a switch firing pin and a second magnet having a polarity opposite the first magnet. The switch button member is repelled such that no contact exists between the switch firing pin and switch button member, but when depressed, the switch button member establishes electrical contact and current flows via a battery received within a mod housing to coils of the mod device.

The permanent magnet magnetically couples the first outside yoke, the second outside yoke, the first inside yoke, and the second inside yoke, and produces a magnetic field component in a direction in which the first fixed contact point and the second fixed contact point are aligned, between the first fixed contact point and the first movable contact point and between the second fixed contact point and the second movable contact point.

The moving contact is configured such that, in the first position, the moving contact contacts neither or only one of the fixed contacts and, in the second position, the moving contact contacts both of the fixed contacts.

The disclosure provides a hydraulic switch including a casing, a first cable, a second cable, an electrically conductive piston and a first magnetic conductive component. The casing has a chamber and a liquid channel connected to the chamber. The first cable is disposed through the casing, and the first electrical connection portion of that is located in the chamber. The second cable is disposed through the casing, and a second electrical connection portion of that is located in the chamber. The electrically conductive piston movably is disposed in the chamber. When the electrically conductive piston is in an electrically connected position, the electrically conductive piston is in electrical contact with the first electrical connection portion and the second electrical connection portion. The first magnetic conductive component is configured to provide a magnetic force to move the electrically conductive piston toward an electrically disconnected position.

Permanent magnet contactor

A power system is disclosed. The system may include an electrical contactor including a pair of plates arranged to scissor between open and closed positions. The plates may have magnets embedded therein such that in the closed position, a subset of the magnets having opposite polarity are aligned to encourage touching of electrical contacts of the plates, and in the open position, a subset of the magnets having same polarity are aligned to encourage separation of the electrical contacts.

A modular transfer switch (22) and actuator (20) wherein multiple transfer switches are connectable in linear arrangement with the actuator such that the actuator controls the position of all of the transfer switches. Each of the transfer switches (22) includes a contact assembly (48) that converts over-rotation of the drive linkage (26) in the transfer switch to added pressure between the load contacts and the power contacts in the contact assembly. The actuator has an embodiment wherein a joint (400) that connects counter-rotating arms (396,398) is linked to the armature of a linear motor (507) and spring tension from springs (423, 424) is additive to the closing force applied to the transfer switches (22).
