PORTABLE THERAPEUTIC STRENGTHENING APPARATUS USING ADJUSTABLE RESISTANCE
A lightweight, portable leg strengthening apparatus includes a footplate and calf support which form a leg rest, a top a friction free sliding element running longitudinally along and supported on a rectangular base. The leg rest is hinged at its attachment to the sliding element to allow a longitudinal tilting movement. The leg rest has adjustability at the hinge point at the ankle to enable alterations in the foot position. The leg rest has a removable heel support which provides the ability for either no pressure of full pressure to be exerted through the heel area of the user. The leg rest is able to be rotated 180° to allow for the user to either push the leg rest a top the guide member away from the user to allow the user to work their quadriceps, or may be pulled towards the user allowing the user to work their hamstring. The apparatus uses resistance material/rubber cords or springs attached via a plate to a steel cable, travelling via an aperture in the end of the device to the back of the sliding element a top the body of the device to create tension as the leg rest a top the sliding element is moved longitudinally along the body of the device. Resistance can be varied and progressed by using different numbers of resistance cords/springs. Organ stop devices are used to engage and disengage the resistance means so that the user has no need to have physical contact with said resistance means. A movable block on the rear of the device behind the sliding element prevents a patient flexing the knee and hip further than is appropriate for them. Fold away legs that are rotated out from under the device and locked into place make the device versatile for using whilst seated or folded away for use on a bed. A contact sensor at the front of the device enables visual display of number of repetitions achieved on a screen at the rear of the apparatus.
Kynetic Workout Station
An improved strength machine is at least partly distinguished by the following features: having a housing (20), a housing frame (141), an inner supporting structure (145) and/or an inner frame (145, 150), having a rotatable flywheel weight (13) mounted in the housing (20), on the housing frame (141), on the inner supporting structure (145) or on the inner frame (145, 150), the flywheel weight is fitted on a shaft (12) or is seated on a shaft (12), having a flexible pulling element (3), the flexible pulling element (3) is attached to the shaft (12) or a reel (95) which is mounted on a freewheel bearing (94), which is pretensioned by means of a spring arrangement (96) in the wind-up direction of the pulling element (3).
Dual hand controlled device for leg stretching and/or activation
An independent stretching device comprises a back brace configured to pass across and brace against a user's back. A first connector is secured to a first end of the lower back brace, and is threaded through a first pulley. A second connector is secured to a second end of the lower back brace on an opposite side of the user to the first end of the back brace, the second connector being threaded through a second pulley. A foot stirrup is provided for receiving a foot of the user, and has a first end connected to the first pulley and a second end connected to the second pulley. Tension applied to respective distal ends of the first and second connectors distal from the back brace creates tension which urges the foot stirrup and the back brace toward each other.
Lower limb rehabilitation device
The invention discloses a lower limb rehabilitation device, which includes a square box body. A square box body is provided on the right side of the square box body. The upper end surface and the right side of the square box body are both hollow surfaces. Block, the upper side of the heightened block is welded with an electric cylinder, the piston rod of the electric cylinder is welded with a first connecting rod, the front and rear side walls of the square box are hinged with connecting plates, and the connecting plates of the front and back The foot fixing plate is directly fixedly connected, and the second connecting rod is welded on the left side of the foot fixing plate.
Incliner apparatus
Wellness equipment is provided in the form of an incliner apparatus that can also serve as furniture. The incliner apparatus includes a body support structure and at least one ground engaging rocker coupled to the body support structure to support a user at a variable angular orientation or pitch in response to a position of the user on the body support structure. The incliner apparatus is configured such that the body support structure may assume a horizontal configuration when the incliner apparatus is in a state of equilibrium, and such that the body support structure may assume a declined configuration or an inclined configuration when the user lies on the body support structure with a center of gravity of the user offset from a central reference plane of the incliner apparatus.
Rower with articulating footpads
Improvements in a rower with articulating footpads. The footpads have first (raised) position that uncovers wheels that allow for easy transportation of the rowing machine from one location to another. In this position the footpads are prevented from dragging on the floor when the rowing machine is being transported. The second position of the footpads rotate over the structural stability frame member. This orientation provides two flat surfaces for the user to stand upon. The footpads have a rear lip to locate the back or heels of the user. A strap is pulled from a loading mechanism and is guided out of the loading system to allow the strap to be pulled out of the loading system from a variety of angles.
Low friction rehabilitation board with an integral band retaining feature and methods of rehabilitation
A low friction rehabilitation board having an integral band retaining feature is described. The rehabilitation board may have a coefficient of static friction of no more than about 0.5 and in some embodiments no more than about 0.06. The rehabilitation board has a plurality of band retaining feature configured along one or both ends and may be an integral band retaining features being formed in the board. Additionally, the rehabilitation may include one or more band retaining features on one or both sides of the board. The unique configuration of the band retaining features enables rehabilitation method heretofore not possible with a single board. Resistance bands may be retained in the band retaining features and coupled to a user's limb, such as a foot or ankle, to resist motion, such as sliding or extending the foot along the low friction surface of the rehabilitation board.
PROTECTIVE ROWING DEVICE
A protective rowing device for compression of the abdomen is provided that comprises a brace and U-shaped support member that may connect to a rowing machine seat and rail.
Methods for inducing full knee flexion
A method for inducing knee flexion is described that includes securing a knee rehabilitation device to a leg, the rehabilitation device includes a frame with a handle on a proximal end, a pad piece on a distal end, and a strap between the proximal end and the distal end. The method further includes positioning the knee rehabilitation device on the person's leg such that the handle is above a knee on the leg, the pad piece is on an ankle of the leg, and the strap is located behind the person's leg between the knee and ankle. A first force is then applied to the handle in a first direction. The pad piece is actuated in response to the first force to move in a second direction which applies a second force to the ankle of the leg in a direction to cause flexion of the knee.
Fitness equipment
A fitness equipment includes a main body, a binding structure and a support base. The main body is supported on the ground and includes a pedal unit. The binding structure is disposed on the main body. The support base is detachably pivoted to the binding structure and is rotatable correspondingly to the main body, wherein the support base includes a seat, a handlebar and a connecting structure. The handlebar is disposed on the seat. The connecting structure is disposed on the seat and detachably pivoted to the binding structure.
