HANDLE ASSEMBLY WITH DEFEATER AND RELATED METHODS

A handle assembly and related methods for actuating a mechanism such as a disconnect switch.

Position locking and shifting control mechanism

A position lock and position shift controlling mechanism for a multi-position shifting switch includes a position lock and position shift assembly and a controlling assembly to control the locking of the position lock and position shift assembly. The position lock assembly includes a locked body, a moving body and a housing body. The locked body includes a roundel pedestal which rotates synchronously with a switching shaft, a lock tooth component rotatably attached with the roundel pedestal, and an inner core component. The lock tooth component includes evenly distributed location teeth and plural radial slots. The moving body locks the lock tooth component and pushes the inner core component away from the lock tooth component. The switching shaft actuates the roundel pedestal to rotate a preset angle about the lock tooth component to shift the multi-position shifting switch to a stop control mode position from an automation control mode position.

Electrical enclosure, and switching assembly and transfer assembly therefor

A transfer assembly is for a switching assembly of an electrical enclosure. The switching assembly includes an electrical switching apparatus having an operating handle structured to move from an OFF position to an ON position. The transfer assembly includes a driving handle; a first shaft member coupled to the driving handle; a second shaft member structured to be coupled to the operating handle; and a transmission assembly having a first component and a second component, the first component being coupled to the first shaft member, the second component being coupled to the second shaft member. The transfer assembly is structured to move from a FIRST position to a SECOND position. When the transfer assembly moves from the FIRST position to the SECOND position, the first component drives the second component, thereby causing the second shaft member to move the operating handle from the OFF position to the ON position.

An actuation system for a switch assembly having at least one switch includes a linear actuator drivable for actuating the switch, and a handle configured for selectively driving the linear actuator. The handle is operable in a first state in which the handle is coupled to the linear actuator such that turning the handle does not drive the linear actuator, and a second state in which the handle is coupled to the linear actuator such that turning the handle drives the linear actuator.

A switch for controlling a control circuit or an operating current of electric-motors in linear gear drives includes: a switch casing, having at least an upper part including keys, and a lower part for forming a receiving space; a circuit board incorporated in the receiving space with microswitches including a switch casing and a spring-biased push-rod therein; wherein, when the keys are actuated by a user, the push rod actuates the micro-switch to control a control circuit or operating current, and wherein the switch contains at least one locking element, transferable between a locking position, which locks the keys, and a release position, which releases the keys. To prevent damage to a switch from pressure forces during actuation, the locking device is formed such that the pressure applied to the key is transferred onto the switch casing and/or the circuit board plate over as wide an area as possible.

SWITCH DEVICE STRUCTURE

A switch device structure serves to help in stably moving an operation rod. The switch device includes a contact fixing support assembled with an insulation case. The fixing support is formed with multiple openings. A connection board and multiple support members are correspondingly assembled in the openings. The support member has a base section and a neck section, which together define a passage. The operation rod is assembled with an elastic unit and can pass through the passage and the connection board to extend into the fixing support so as to move a wire connection assembly in the case. The switch device structure improves the shortcoming of the conventional switch device that the operation rod is apt to shake and deflect.

Switch lock mechanism

A locking assembly for locking a switch is provided. According to a preferred embodiment, a locking member is connected to a support member having a plurality of first grooves, a lower receiving element, a retaining tab, a resilient member and a fastening element. Preferably, the lower receiving element includes a securing socket element having at least a second groove and a third groove. According to a preferred embodiment, the fastening element preferably secures the locking member, the lower receiving element, and the resilient member with a panel to form a locking assembly that automatically locks the switch when the switch is in a selected position.

Switch device mounting structure

A switch device structure includes at least one contact seat having a first end wall, a second end wall, two sidewalls, an upper section and a bottom section to together define a cavity for arranging a contact assembly. Each of the first and second end walls of the contact seat has a protruding assembling section and an oblique socket directed to the assembling section. The switch device structure includes a contact support equipped with a fixing board. The contact support is formed with latch sections detachably latched with the assembling sections. An operator can use a tool to directly pass through the oblique socket to unlatch the latch section from the assembling section to quickly install/uninstall the contact seat and the contact support. This solves the problem of the conventional switch device that it is troublesome and time-consuming to install/uninstall the contact seat and the contact support.
