Lockout management systems and methods with multi-keyholder electronic locking devices

This disclosure provides systems and methods for lockout-tagout procedures and systems supporting the same, including, without limitation, locking devices that can store and be locked simultaneously by multiple keyholders. In various embodiments, a single user can add multiple keyholders to a locking device. The user may not be able to remove anyone as a keyholder except himself or herself. Thus, the locking device may remain in a locked state until each of the added keyholders applies their digital key, password, PIN, and/or other personal identifying information to unlock the locking device by removing themselves as a keyholder.

CIRCUIT INTERRUPTERS WITH ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED LOCK OUT TAG OUT SYSTEMS AND RELATED ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Circuit breakers with a housing with a line side and a load side and an electronically controlled lock-out lock member coupled to the housing configured to electronically controllably travel between a first position and a second position. In the second position, the lock member is in a lock-out position and prevents the handle from moving to an ON position associated with electrical current conduction and in the first position the lock member is translated to a position that allows the handle to move to the ON position.

ISOLATING SWITCH WITH TEST POINT

An isolating switch for a circuit includes: a switching mechanism movable between an open position in which the circuit is open and a closed position in which the circuit is closed; and a housing. The housing includes: a first housing component coupled to and enclosing the switching mechanism; a second housing component coupled to the switching mechanism and movable with respect to the first housing component to move the switching mechanism between the open position and the closed position; at least one aperture arranged in one of the first or second housing components; and at least one test point electrically connected to the circuit and arranged in an other of the first or second housing components. The second housing component is movable with respect to the first housing component between at least: a first relative position in which the switching mechanism is in the closed position.

Enclosures having sloping and convex curved tops

An enclosure is provided that includes a main housing, a top housing, and a front housing. The main housing defines at least a rear wall of the enclosure, the top housing defines a top wall and a pair of side walls of the enclosure, and the front housing defines a front wall of the enclosure. The top wall has a convex curved portion that spans between side walls, where the convex curved portion has an angle that slopes downward from the rear wall towards the front wall.

The present disclosure relates to a supplementary isolating device for remote operation of a circuit breaker with interlocking functionality. The supplementary isolating device includes: an electrical disconnection switch manoeuvrable between a mechanically lockable first position and a mechanically lockable second position, which electrical disconnection switch is configured to be connected in the control circuit of a circuit breaker for an electrical drive system, wherein the supplementary isolating device is configured to send a first control voltage to the circuit breaker to provide an electrical disconnect and interlocking the operation of the circuit breaker, when the electrical disconnection switch is in the first position, an electric terminal configured to be connected to an auxiliary contact of the circuit breaker to obtain an operational status of the circuit breaker, and an indicator configured to indicate the operational status of the circuit breaker.

Lockout tagout system and method

A manually operated disconnect maintains a machine/process in a de-energized state. The disconnect employs a sensor that automatically detects, via wireless communication, a lock affixed to the disconnect that locks the disconnect in an open state. Processing circuitry coupled to the sensor determines lockout tagout data, such as identification of a user associated with the lock, a time of application of the lock, and data identifying and/or locating the disconnect or a machine/process to which the disconnect provides power when in a closed state. Memory circuitry coupled to the processing circuitry stores the lockout tagout data, and holds it available for user review, transmission, analysis, reporting, and so forth.

SWITCHING APPARATUS AND ASSOCIATED SWITCH
