Building device having an address programming interface

A building device with a front accessible address programming interface is provided. The building device includes a mounting base having front and rear surfaces. The front surface defines two connector channels extending towards the rear surface. The connector channels are spaced apart and sized to each receive a respective prong of a programming device connector plug. The building device further includes external terminals disposed on the rear surface, internal terminals, a group of normally closed switches having a common control input, and an actuator. Each switch connects an external terminal to a respective internal terminal when the common control input is deactivated to provide a network connection. The actuator is connected to the common control input and disposed such that the connector plug engages the actuator to activate the common control input of the switches when each of the connector channels receive a respective prong of the connector plug.

Energy reducing key for electronic trip units

Embodiments provide an Energy Reduction Maintenance Setting (ERMS) key that includes a data connector configured to communicatively couple to a data port of a target device. The ERMS key further includes an illumination device and an actuator mechanism having a base positional state and an actuated positional state. The ERMS key includes logic configured to, upon detecting the actuator mechanism has moved from the base positional state to the actuated positional state, generate and transmit a first data message to the target device through the data connector instructing the target device to enter a protected mode. The logic is further configured to, upon receiving a second data message from the target device over the data connector acknowledging that the target device has successfully entered the protected mode, cause the illumination device to illuminate.

A locking apparatus for a circuit breaker includes a locking pin including a main body; a rotatably or displaceably mounted definition tip; and a guide including a mating contour. In an embodiment, the locking pin is movably mounted within the guide. The definition tip is in alignment with the locking pin in a first position, such that the locking pin together, with the definition tip, is movable through the guide. Further, the definition tip cannot be moved through the guide in a second position, owing to the deflection of the rotatably and displaceably mounted definition tip of the locking pin.

Systems and methods for improving a sensing ability of an interlock switch system

A system for improving a sensing ability of an interlock switch system may include an interlock switch and a target component. The interlock switch may include a first antenna coil that may receive one or more signals from one or more antenna coils within a sensing range of the first antenna coil. The target component may include an actuator that may interface with the interlock switch. The target component may also include at least two antenna coils. Each of the at least two antenna coils may then include an electronic identification (ID) associated with the target component.

Interlocking control device of multiple-unit train safety circuit

An interlocking control device for a multiple-unit safety circuit is provided, which includes: a protective grounding switch control branch which includes: a pantograph rising pneumatic circuit cut-off valve, a protective grounding switch turn-off pneumatic circuit cut-off valve and a protective grounding switch turn-off solenoid valve which are connected in series. When high-voltage equipment of a multiple-unit train is under maintenance or is powered by an external power supply, a protective grounding switch is turned on, cocks of the pantograph rising pneumatic circuit cut-off valve and the protective grounding switch turn-off pneumatic circuit cut-off valve are rotated to open a cover of a key box, the protective grounding switch control branch is disconnected, the protective grounding switch turn-off solenoid valve connected in series in the protective grounding switch control branch is powered off to maintain the protective grounding switch in an on state.

LOCK ASSEMBLIES FOR SWITCH DEVICES OF ELECTRICAL POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS

A lock assembly for a switch device of an electrical power distribution system includes a first lock and a second lock. The lock assembly also includes a connector arranged to inhibit movement of the first lock when the switch device is in a first position and inhibit movement of the second lock when the switch device is in a second position. The lock assembly further includes a guard coupled to at least one of the first lock and the second lock. The guard is positionable between a first position in which the guard allows access to an actuating mechanism of the switch device and a second position in which the guard inhibits access to the actuating mechanism. The guard is moveable between the first position and the second position when at least one of said first lock and said second lock is rotated.

An apparatus includes a cabinet with a door. A circuit interrupting device is installed in the cabinet. A plate on the door is operative to shift the circuit interrupting device between ON and OFF conditions upon movement of the plate between ON and OFF positions. A handle on the door is linked with the plate to move the plate between the ON and OFF positions upon movement of the handle between corresponding positions. Additionally, a latch is supported the door for movement into and out of a locked position in which the latch blocks movement of the plate to the ON position. A driving member is moveable against the latch to move the latch into the locking position against the bias of a spring. A key moves the driving member against the latch.
