Method of controlling an appliance door position switch for Sabbath mode operation
An appliance includes a position switch retention device for use with an appliance includes a body defining a generally cylindrical profile extending through a first portion thereof along an axis and having a first radius. The body further defines a pin-receiving channel open on at least a first end thereof and positioned within the generally cylindrical profile. The device further includes a first tab extending from a side of the body. The tab defines a ramp and an edge with the ramp extending away from the first end of the body to the edge. A cap extends outwardly from a second end of the body opposite the first end. The cap is spaced apart from the edge of the tab at a first distance and has a second radius greater than the first radius.
Three Button Control Station Disabler
A disabler cover plate includes a generally flat longitudinal surface, an upper hook extending approximately 90° from a top of an underside of the flat longitudinal surface, a lower hook extending approximately 90° from a bottom of the underside of the flat longitudinal surface, and a bump out on the underside of the flat longitudinal surface, the bump out positioned to depress and maintain pressure on a button on a face of a PBS-3 fixture.
LIGHT SWITCH COVER
A light switch cover includes a base portion defining a central opening and including a first base engagement member and a second base engagement member, a cover pivotally coupled to the base portion, a first cover engagement member positioned on the cover, where the first cover engagement member has a complementary shape to the first base engagement member, and where the first cover engagement member is selectively engaged with the first base engagement member when the cover is in the closed position, and a second cover engagement member positioned on the cover, where the second cover engagement member has a complementary shape to the second base engagement member, and where the second cover engagement member is selectively engaged with the second base engagement member when the cover is in the closed position.
Circuit breaker lockout apparatus
A circuit breaker lockout apparatus, in particular to a motor circuit breaker lockout apparatus, includes two half-shell like housing parts, in particular housing halves, and an adjustment element. The two housing parts are assembled to form a housing shell having a rear wall and that are connected to one another via a pivot joint that defines a pivot axis about which the two housing parts are pivotable relative to one another between a release position and a clamping position. The adjustment element is adjustable between a base position and a locked position and that is in particular rotatable about an axis of rotation in order to transfer the two housing parts from the release position to the clamping position.
Control unit for controlling electrical apparatus
A control unit for controlling electrical apparatus. The control unit has (i) a control device which may be wall-mounted; (ii) an actuation plate which may be secured to the control device and comprises a cover surface which is at least partially transparent; (iii) a sensor member for detecting when a user's finger or another body comes into contact with a touch zone; and (iv) a control designed to control the electrical apparatus according to a specific function following detection of the contact action. The control device comprises a switching device associated with the touch zone through the control in such a way that the actuation of the switching device controls the electrical apparatus according to the same function associated with the touch zone.
PROTECTIVE COLLAR FOR ACUTATING ELEMENTS, IN PARTICULAR SWITCHES
The invention relates to a protective collar for at least partially receiving an actuating element which extends through a housing of a control unit and projects beyond an outer side of the housing. The protective collar has a base with a through-opening and a first circumferential collar radially spaced from the through-opening and extending from an upper surface of the base in a first direction. The first collar has at least two cut-outs such that the first collar forms at least two wings, wherein at least one of the wings has at least one predetermined breaking point extending in the circumferential direction.
Gesture-based control device for controlling an electrical load
A control device may be configured to control one or more electrical loads in a load control system. The control device may be a wall-mounted device such as dimmer switch, a remote control device, or a retrofit remote control device. The control device may include a gesture-based user interface for applying advanced control over the one or more electrical loads. The types of control may include absolute and relative control, intensity and color control, preset, zone, or operational mode selection, etc. Feedback may be provided on the control device regarding a status of the one or more electrical loads or the control device.
Switching apparatus and associated switch
Implementations of the subject matter described herein provide an apparatus for use in a switch. The apparatus includes: a handle including a first slot; a mode button operable to change an operation mode of the switch, the mode button including a second slot; a slider coupled to the mode button and movable in a first direction in association with a movement of the mode button, the slider including a first block; a lever operable to be opened in a rotatable manner and including a pin, wherein when the mode button is set at a service position, the first block is received in the first slot to maintain the handle; and in response to the lever being opened in the rotatable manner, the pin is operable to pass through the second slot to prevent the movement of the mode button. Such apparatus herein provides a lock mechanism that may prevent mistake operation between different operation modes.
Devices for limiting switch positions for electrical devices
A device for limiting movement of an operator of at least one switch of a light fixture can include a body. The device can also include at least one fixture coupling feature disposed on the body, where the at least one fixture coupling feature is configured to couple to at least one device coupling feature of the light fixture. The body, when coupled to the light fixture, can be configured to limit the movement of a first operator of a first switch of the at least one switch.
Protective cover assembly for magnetically actuating an electrical wall switch
A protective cover assembly for an electrical wall switch disposed on a wall in which the electrical wall switch has an actuator physically contactable and actuatable by a user for controlling electrical power to a load from an electrical power source. The protective cover assembly may include an enclosure and a connector for connecting the enclosure over the electrical wall switch to inhibit a user from physically contacting and actuating the actuator. A first magnetic material member is attached to or disposed in the actuator. A tool includes a second magnetic material member. When the tool is moved relative to the outer surface of the enclosure, a magnetic force acting through the enclosure is operable to move the actuator from a first position to a second position thereby moving the actuator for controlling electrical power to the electrical load.
