Remote load control device capable of orientation detection
A remote control device is provided that is configured for use in a load control system that includes one or more electrical loads. The remote control device includes a mounting structure and a control unit, and the control unit is configured to be attached to the mounting structure in a plurality of different orientations. The control unit includes a user interface, an orientation sensing circuit, and a communication circuit. The control unit is configured to determine an orientation of the control unit via the orientation sensing circuit. The control unit is also configured to translate a user input from the user interface into control data to control an electrical load of the load control system based on the orientation of the control unit and/or provide a visual indication of an amount of power delivered to the electrical load based on the orientation of the control unit.
Circuit breaker lockout apparatus
A circuit breaker lockout apparatus, in particular to a motor circuit breaker lockout apparatus, includes two half-shell like housing parts, in particular housing halves, and an adjustment element. The two housing parts are assembled to form a housing shell having a rear wall and that are connected to one another via a pivot joint that defines a pivot axis about which the two housing parts are pivotable relative to one another between a release position and a clamping position. The adjustment element is adjustable between a base position and a locked position and that is in particular rotatable about an axis of rotation in order to transfer the two housing parts from the release position to the clamping position.
Assembly Comprising a Normally-Open Electrical Switch and a Control Blade for Controlling Its Change of State Which Keeps It Closed at Rest
An assembly includes an electrical switch and an elastically deformable control blade for controlling change of state of its trip member. The control blade comprises: (i) a fixing branch; (ii) an actuation branch which, in the absence of application of an actuation effort, stresses the trip member in the direction of closure of the electrical switch, and (iii) a control branch which can pivot about an axis to provoke tilting of the actuation branch against its elasticity to keep the electrical switch in an open free state. The assembly may include a locking device for locking the control blade in an initial position of delivery of the assembly. The unlocking of the control blade may be provoked automatically upon a first application of an actuation effort on the control blade.
EXTERNAL SWITCH COUPLER FOR PAD-MOUNTED TRANSFORMERS
An external switch coupler includes: a guide tube having a first end and a second end, the first end configured to be attached to a door of a compartment in substantial alignment with both a hole in the door and a switch coupler within the compartment, and the second end configured to be disposed within an interior of the compartment and separated from the switch coupler by a gap when the door is closed; a coupling shaft configured to be operably placed within the guide tube, the coupling shaft having an electrically insulative member disposed between an coupler side adapter and a switch side adapter, and a length equal to or greater than a distance between the switch coupler and the hole in the door when the door is closed.
RETROFIT REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE
Remote control devices may control electrical loads and/or load control devices of a load control system without accessing electrical wiring. The remote control device may be mounted over a mechanical switch that is installed in a wallbox. The remote control device may include a control unit and a faceplate assembly. The faceplate assembly may include a mounting frame, an adapter plate, and a faceplate. The mounting frame may be configured to abut a bezel of the mechanical switch such that that the faceplate is spaced away from the bezel of the mechanical switch to enable the mounting ring to extend through respective openings in the adapter plate and the faceplate.
Retrofit remote control device

The remote control device may be mounted over a mechanical switch that is installed in a wallbox. The remote control device may include a control unit and a faceplate assembly. The faceplate assembly may include a mounting frame, an adapter plate, and a faceplate. The mounting frame may be configured to abut a bezel of the mechanical switch such that that the faceplate is spaced away from the bezel of the mechanical switch to enable the mounting ring to extend through respective openings in the adapter plate and the faceplate.
PROTECTIVE COVER ASSEMBLY FOR MAGNETICALLY ACTUATING AN ELECTRICAL WALL SWITCH
A protective cover assembly for an electrical wall switch disposed on a wall in which the electrical wall switch has an actuator physically contactable and actuatable by a user for controlling electrical power to a load from an electrical power source. The protective cover assembly may include an enclosure and a connector for connecting the enclosure over the electrical wall switch to inhibit a user from physically contacting and actuating the actuator. A first magnetic material member is attached to or disposed in the actuator. A tool includes a second magnetic material member. When the tool is moved relative to the outer surface of the enclosure, a magnetic force acting through the enclosure is operable to move the actuator from a first position to a second position thereby moving the actuator for controlling electrical power to the electrical load.
RETROFIT REMOTE CONTROL DEVICES
Remote control devices may control electrical loads and/or load control devices of a load control system without accessing electrical wiring. The remote control device may be mounted over a mechanical switch that is installed in a multi-gang wallbox adjacent to a second electrical device, such as another mechanical switch or an electrical receptacle. The second electrical device may be recessed with respect to the remote control device and may be brought forward towards a front surface of the adapter by loosening a first set of screws that attach a yoke of the second electrical device to the multi-gang wallbox, and tightening a second set of screws that attach the adapter to the yoke of the second electrical device. The remote control device may comprise one or more configurable attachment members for attaching the adapter to the yoke of the mechanical switch and/or to the yoke of the second electrical device.

SWITCHING APPARATUS AND ASSOCIATED SWITCH
Implementations of the subject matter described herein provide an apparatus for use in a switch. The apparatus includes: a handle including a first slot; a mode button operable to change an operation mode of the switch, the mode button including a second slot; a slider coupled to the mode button and movable in a first direction in association with a movement of the mode button, the slider including a first block; a lever operable to be opened in a rotatable manner and including a pin, wherein when the mode button is set at a service position, the first block is received in the first slot to maintain the handle; and in response to the lever being opened in the rotatable manner, the pin is operable to pass through the second slot to prevent the movement of the mode button. Such apparatus herein provides a lock mechanism that may prevent mistake operation between different operation modes.
