Method of controlling an appliance door position switch for sabbath mode operation
A position switch retention device for use with an appliance including a body defining a first end, a cap extending outwardly from a second end of the body opposite the first end, and a first tab extending from a side of the body. The first tab defines a ramp extending away from the body to an edge directed toward and spaced from the cap.
Gesture-based control device for controlling an electrical load
A control device is disclosed herein that comprises a base portion configured to be mounted over a toggle actuator of a mechanical switch that controls power delivered to at least one lighting load. In examples, the control device further comprises a touch sensitive surface configured to detect first and second user inputs. In examples, the control device further comprises a touch sensitive device and an actuation portion. The control device is configured to control the at least one lighting load in response to the user inputs, actuations of the actuation portion, a point actuation, and/or a gesture.
Retrofittable switch guard
A switch guard for preventing accidental actuation of a control switch is disclosed. The switch guard includes a rigid wall structure comprising a pair of side walls and a pair of end walls arranged to accommodate positioning of the control switch therein, each of the pair of end walls including at least one opening formed therein. The switch guard also includes a mating feature provided at each of the end walls of the wall structure, with each mating feature being a separate component from the rigid wall structure and being configured to selectively translate through the at least one opening formed in the respective end wall between a first position and a second position to secure the switch guard about the control switch.
Self-adjusting frame for mounting over a wall-mounted electrical device
A mounting frame may be configured as a self-adjusting mounting frame that biases itself against a surface of structure. The mounting frame may be a component, for example, of a remote control device or a faceplate assembly. The mounting frame may be configured to bias a rear surface of the mounting frame against the surface of a structure. The mounting frame may include biasing members. Each biasing member may include an attachment portion and a pair of resilient spring arms that suspend the attachment portion relative to a perimeter wall of the mounting frame such that the attachment portion is spaced further from the rear surface of the mounting frame than locations where the spring arms extend from the mounting frame. The rear surface of the mounting frame may be defined by the perimeter wall.
Low profile circuit breaker lock-out assembly
An electrical panel assembly comprising at least one circuit breaker and a mounted low-profile circuit breaker lock-out assembly is disclosed. The circuit breaker lock-out assembly includes a first and second mount. The first mount is for mounting to a first end of a circuit breaker housing wall adjacent a circuit breaker switch lever and includes an outward projection having a through-hole. The second mount is for mounting to a second end of the circuit breaker housing wall and includes a pivotally attached arm that is rotatable between an unlocked and locked position in which the arm is aligned with the outward projection allowing a lock to be inserted through the projection through-hole and a corresponding hole in the arm. The arm is shaped to receive the circuit breaker switch lever and hold the lever immobile when the arm is in the locked position and the lock is inserted.
Switch device cover permitting partial accessibility
A switch device for a vehicle includes an emergency notification switch, an operation switch other than the emergency notification switch, and a cover that is movable between a closed position at which the emergency notification switch and the operation switch are covered and an open position at which the emergency notification switch and the operation switch are exposed. In the switch device, an operating surface of the emergency notification switch is located at a position lower than an operating surface of the operation switch, and the cover is provided with an opening through which the operating surface of the operation switch is exposed at the closed position.
Switch cover guard
A switch cover guard for guarding at least one electrical device in an electrical plate against access, use and/or damage has a security chamber surrounded by first, second, top and bottom guard walls. The security chamber is open to the rear to allow electrical switches/outlets to be accessed from within the chamber once the rear of the switch cover guard is attached onto the electrical plate. A front security plate can be slid between an open position, which allows access to the switch/outlet, and a closed position. When closed, the security chamber is sealed and the switch/outlet is no longer accessible. An adhesive attachment layer can secure the guard directly to the switch/outlet plate without requiring the plate to be opened. The front security plate can have a transparent or translucent front panel to allow light to pass through while the switch cover guard is closed.
ADAPTER ASSEMBLIES FOR INTERCONNECTING SURGICAL LOADING UNITS AND HANDLE ASSEMBLIES
An adapter assembly configured to be coupled to a surgical loading unit includes a switch, an elongated member, and an annular member. The switch is configured to be toggled in response to the surgical loading unit being coupled to the adapter assembly. The elongated member is in communication with the switch and is resiliently biased in a distal direction toward a locking position in which the switch is toggled. The annular member is disposed adjacent the elongated member and is rotatable between a first orientation, in which the annular member prevents distal movement of the elongated member, and a second orientation, in which the elongated member moves distally to toggle the switch.
In-wall electrical control unit with openable switch cover
An in-wall electrical control unit with openable switch cover has a switch cover attached to a housing of the electrical control unit adjacent to a user interface of the electrical control unit such that the switch cover can be maneuvered between an opened position exposing the user interface for programming and a closed position wherein the switch cover is positioned over the user interface. An interface actuation knob on an inner surface of the switch cover aligned with a specific control of the user interface allows the user to operate the specific control while the switch cover is in the closed position.
