Switch device capable of automatically detecting and adjusting zero cross point
Disclosures of the present invention describe a switch device has a controlling and processing unit comprising a first zero point detector, a second zero point detector, an arc detector, and a microcontroller. According to zero crossing point of input voltage signal, zero crossing point of output voltage signal, relay's delay time, and arc-spark-induced signal, the microcontroller is capable of adaptively generating a relay controlling signal to control the relay, such that the relay achieves a short-circuit switching at the zero cross point of output voltage signal for making the output voltage signal be transmitted to at least one load device. Moreover, the microcontroller is also able to control the relay to finish a short-circuit switching at the zero cross point of input voltage signal, so as to stop the output voltage signal from being transmitted to the load device.
Actuator for a medium voltage circuit breaker
An actuator for a medium voltage circuit breaker or recloser includes: at least one movable contact with a contact stem, driven by an electromagnetic drive or a motor drive; and a spring, the spring being positioned in a kinematic chain between the drive and the at least one movable contact or contact stem. An arrangement of the at least one movable contact and the electromagnetic drive or motor drive is coupled to a detection unit for detecting a micromotion activation in order to register an actual movability and availability of the electromagnetic drive or motor drive of the at least one movable contact without changing an actual switch position itself.

CONTROLLED SWITCHING OF A CIRCUIT BREAKER
A method for controlled switching of a circuit breaker is described. The method includes initiating operation of the circuit breaker at an initiation time derivable from an initiation time function. The initiation time function depends on a first parameter and a second parameter. The partial derivative of the initiation time function with respect to the first parameter is dependent on the second parameter and/or the partial derivative of the initiation time function with respect to the second parameter is dependent on the first parameter. Further, a system for controlled switching according to the method and a circuit breaker including the system are described.
Synchronized Opening Of Circuit Breaker
A method for synchronizing opening of a circuit breaker is presented. The circuit breaker is arranged to interrupt a current to an inductive load. The method is performed in a control device (2) and comprises measuring (S100) a reference signal as a function of time for a circuit breaker (1) connected to an inductive load (5), obtaining (S110) an indication of a power factor of the inductive load through the circuit breaker, determining (S120) an arcing time for opening of the circuit breaker, the arcing time being dependent on the obtained indication of a power factor, predicting (S130) a zero crossing of a current through the circuit breaker based on the measured reference signal, and providing (S140) contact separation of a contact pair of the circuit breaker at a point of time before the predicted zero crossing, the point of time being determined by the determined arcing time and the predicted zero crossing. A control device, a circuit breaker arrangement, and a computer program for synchronizing opening of a circuit breaker are also presented.
Control and monitoring module
A control and monitoring module is provided for activating an actuator assigned to the control and monitoring module and for monitoring a signal line and/or a power supply line connected to the control and monitoring module and/or to the actuator. The control and monitoring module is configured to detect a fault in the signal line and/or the power supply line, if, during a simulation executed by a testing device, an actual voltage at the control and monitoring module and/or the actuator exceeds a specified upper voltage threshold value or drops below a specified lower voltage threshold value. A system including the control and monitoring module and a method for operating a control and monitoring module are also provided.
