GOLF INSTRUCTION METHOD, APPARATUS AND ANALYTICS PLATFORM
A golf instruction method, apparatus and analytics platform for determining the state of a putted golf ball relative to a target using information about the golf ball and external variables and remotely displaying the same, comprising a base unit, a mobile device or terminal, and an associated computer program including an analytics engine for analyzing a user's performance. The computer program determines whether and how a putted golf ball has missed said target and then stores, aggregates and displays that information for a user. The analytics engine is operable to aggregate data, analyze data and then correlate a user's actual skill proficiency to ball performance.
Bluetooth enabled ball analyzer and locator
A Bluetooth chip designed to track proximity and play a sound, along with an accelerometer, that is embedded inside of a golf ball is disclosed. The technology inside the balls allows it to be found quickly through proximity and sound, and the app gives a golfer helpful analytical data.
Augmented extended realm system
A machine implemented method for simulated sports training includes the steps displaying a simulated environment having one or more virtual objects of a sporting event; displaying to a user a moving object in the simulated environment in accordance with object path data representing an object path and conditions of motion of the moving object as a function of time; correlating soundscape data to the object path data, the soundscape data being dependent on both object path of the moving object in the object path and the conditions of motion; and outputting sound to the user based on the correlated soundscape data either before or during displaying to the user the moving object, thereby providing spatial auditory clues for assisting tracking eye movements of the user to train the user to anticipate or recognize a trajectory of the moving object.
MULTIPLAYER, MULTISPORT INDOOR GAME SYSTEM AND METHOD
The invention relates to social activities typically based on physical manipulation of objects to achieve an objective common to the participants or to allow participants to engage in distinct activities on a shared field of play, part of which is physical and part of which is virtual and rendered on one or more displays. The invention provides a system and method to enable multiple participants (users) to engage in the activity sequentially or simultaneously, based on the context and objectives of the game. The activity includes one or many shared physical environments modeled on a computing system and displayed, in high fidelity, by one or more projectors or screens.
System and method for determining a spin axis of a sports ball
A system determining a spin axis of a ball includes a radar transmitting a signal into a target area. The radar includes a minimum of three receivers arranged so that two pairs of receivers are not co-linear. The system also includes a Processing Unit (PU) receiving data from the radar and determining a radar range of frequencies received at a point in time corresponding to differing velocities relative to the radar of different portions of the ball as the ball is spinning. PU divides the radar frequency range into a plurality of frequency components and calculating, for each of the frequency components, an angular position associated therewith. PU identifies as a projection of the spin axis in a plane perpendicular to a line of sight from the radar to the ball, a line perpendicular to a line represented by the determined angular positions.
SENSOR-EMBEDDED BALL AND SYSTEM
A ball with a sensor incorporated therein is provided. The ball includes a first sensor including a multiaxial acceleration sensor, a first communication unit for wireless transmission of sensor data detected by the first sensor, and a battery for supplying electric power to the first sensor and the first communication unit. The first sensor includes a first multiaxial acceleration sensor housed at a position intended to be a center of gravity of the ball. Each of the first communication unit and the battery is arranged at a position out of the position intended to be a center of gravity.
System comprising ball with embedded sensor
There is provided a system (1) including a ball (10), which incorporates a first sensor that functions as at least a triaxial acceleration sensor, a triaxial gyro sensor, and a triaxial geomagnetic sensor and also includes a first communication unit (16) that wirelessly transmits sensor data detected by the first sensor; and a mobile terminal (20) including a second communication unit (21) that is paired with the first communication unit. The mobile terminal includes: a unit (61) that acquires external information indicating an environment in which the paired ball moves independently; and a unit (63) that generates ball movement data (55) of the paired ball in which the sensor data of the paired ball obtained via the first communication unit and the second communication unit is associated with the external information.
Apparatus and method for repetitive training of golf swing
An apparatus and method for repetitively training a golf swing is disclosed. In some embodiments of the present apparatus, foot placement guides are provided to align a golfer's stance relative to a golf ball on a tee. Motion and other data capture create a swing profile for the golfer's swing, which is compared to the swing of a golf Pro, thus giving swing feedback to the golfer. The apparatus automatically resets the ball position after the swing, allowing the golfer to repeat the swing based on the received feedback while isolating other variables (such as inaccurate resetting of foot position).
WIRELESS POWER-FEEDING APPARATUS
A wireless power-feeding apparatus that enables efficient wireless feeding to a power-receiving coil embedded at the center of a spherical power-receiving device. The apparatus includes: a holding member for holding the power-receiving device; a power-transmitting coil; a driver circuit for supplying the power-transmitting coil with high-frequency current to generate a magnetic flux for wireless power-feeding to the power-receiving coil; and a wireless data receiver for receiving data transmitted regularly from a wireless data transmitter, the power-transmitting coil being positioned relative to the holding member in such a manner that the axes of the power-receiving coil and the power-transmitting coil are parallel to each other when the power-receiving device is held by the holding member in such a manner that a mark provided on the surface of the power-receiving device faces a predetermined direction.
