A microswitch includes a contact chamber that accommodates a contact mechanism that opens and closes an electrical circuit; an enclosure that accommodates the contact chamber; and a pressing component that accepts a pressure external to the enclosure. The pressing component may include an insertion part that is inserted into an insertion hole in the contact chamber and acts on the contact mechanism, the insertion part receiving a pressure external thereto and moving from a first side that is outward of the enclosure to a second side that is inward of the enclosure. The pressing component may include a shielding part that shields the insertion hole from the contact chamber side, the shielding part being larger than the insertion hole in a direction orthogonal to an insertion direction to block the insertion hole.

Switch assembly

A switch assembly including a socket, a top cap, and an intermediate cart located in the socket. The intermediate cart is slidable with the socket. The top cap is in a spherical or pivot engagement with the intermediate cart. An activation force of the sliding movement is lower than an activation force of the spherical or pivot movement.

Ingress-tolerant input devices

This disclosure relates to ingress-tolerant input devices. Aspects of the disclosure relate to an ingress-tolerant switch assembly for operating an electronic device in an ingress-protected manner. The switch assembly includes a button configured to be coupled to an outer surface of an enclosure of the electronic device. The switch assembly also includes a spring operably coupled to the button and a magnet coupled to the spring. A pressing force applied by a user to the button overcomes a spring force of the spring to move the magnet into proximity of the magnetic sensor to cause the magnetic sensor to generate a sensor signal for performing a function of the electronic device.

DETACHABLE PUSHBUTTON STRUCTURE

A detachable pushbutton structure includes a case seat which is formed with an internal receiving space for receiving a base seat and a linking member. The base seat has multiple contact legs. The linking member is drivable to control the respective contact legs to form different conducting states. A support seat connected with the linking member and has an internal penetrating hole. A light-emitting member is received in the penetrating hole and connected with the base seat. A connected section is disposed on an outer side of the support seat. A cap assembly can be tightly capped on the penetrating hole of the support seat. A pushbutton is capped on the cap assembly and has a connection section detachably connected with the connected section. A protective ring securely connected between an inner circumference of the receiving space and an outer circumference of the support seat.
