Switch for rotating machine
10804048 · 2020-10-13 · ·

A switch for a rotating machine is provided with: a casing supporting two or more terminals respectively having contacts so as to hold the contacts exposed on an inside of the casing; a rod having a rod body fitting in the casing axially movably from a first position to a second position; a first spring axially biasing the rod returning back; a carrier housed in the casing and combined with the rod body to follow axial motion of the rod body; a conductor carried by the carrier and exposed on a side face of the carrier toward the terminals and depart from the terminals at the second position; a second spring intervening between the carrier and the conductor to bias the conductor toward the contacts; and a seal intervening between the rod and the casing and fluid-tightly isolating an interior of the casing.

Electrical pushbutton snap switch with means for identifying the position of the pushbutton and/or of the driving member

A switch comprising having an actuation member in the form of a pushbutton with an actuating portion being arranged, when an external force is applied to the pushbutton, to be moved vertically relative to the housing between a pushbutton upper position and a pushbutton lower position, the pushbutton and a tilting driving member forming a movable mechanical assembly. An electrical switching portion generates signals representative of changes of position of the one and/or of the other of the two components of the movable assembly, the electrical switching portion including a sensing switch for sensing the changes of position of the pushbutton between its upper position and its lower position, and a detecting switch for detecting the changes of position of the tilting driving member between its upper position and its lower position.

SNAP-ACTION SWITCH AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING SAME
20200185167 · 2020-06-11 ·

A snap-action switch including: a housing in which a plurality of fixed contacts and a plurality of movable contacts are disposed therein, a plunger configured for depressible movement via an aperture in the housing from a first position in which the plunger is relatively extended outwardly of the housing via the aperture, into, a second position in which the plunger is relatively retracted inwardly of the housing via the aperture; and a snap-action assembly operably-connected with the plunger, said snap-action assembly being responsive to depressible movement of the plunger so as to effect snap-action type movement of the plurality of movable contacts between normally opened and normally closed positions with respect to the fixed contacts; a sealing element configured for arrangement around the plunger to occlude ingress of particulates, dust and water from entering the housing via the aperture, said sealing element including a flanged portion; and a securement element configured for arrangement around the sealing element, wherein said securement element is shaped and dimensioned for interference fitting or snap-fitting with a rim of the aperture whereby the flanged portion of the sealing element is secured between the securement element and the rim of the aperture so as to restrict removal of the sealing element from the housing.

Button switch and keyswitch thereof

A button switch includes a base having a pillar, a cover disposed on the base, a sleeve, an arm adjacent to the pillar and an elastic member having upward-force-applying, extending-rod, and flexible-rod portions. The sleeve jackets the pillar, passes through the cover, and has first and second ribs. The upward-force-applying portion jackets the pillar and abuts against the sleeve and the base to drive the sleeve to move away from the base. The extending-rod portion extends from the upward-force-applying portion to be connected to the flexible-rod portion located under the first rib. When the sleeve is located at a high position, the second rib biases the arm to deform. When the sleeve is located at a low position, the second rib is misaligned with the arm. The flexible-rod portion crosses the first rib to be released and then collides with the cover to make sound as the sleeve is pressed.

The snap action switch of the present disclosure may include a housing with a plurality of protruding blocks extending inwardly, a plunger disposed on the housing, a first elastic component coupled to the plunger for providing a force against the plunger, a cam located within the housing and being movable by the plunger, a rotor located within the housing and associated with the cam, and a second elastic component coupled to the rotor for providing a force against the rotor. When the cam moves to a first position, the rotor may rotate such that a lower surface of the cam engages with an upper surface of the rotor, and when the cam moves to a second position, the rotor may continue to rotate such that the upper surface of the rotor engages with a lower surface of at least one of the plurality of protruding blocks of the housing.

Keypad

A keypad includes a base, an actuator, a first and second elastic member and a pivotal mechanism. The base has a through hole. The actuator is located in through hole to be moved between initial position and pressed position. The first elastic member is connected between the base and the actuator. The pivotal mechanism is pivotably and linearly movably disposed on the actuator to be moved between withdrawn position and protruding position. The second elastic member is connected between the actuator and the pivotal mechanism. The base has stop block and recess and the pivotal mechanism has tooth. While the actuator is moved to the pressed position, the tooth is stopped by the stop block so that the pivotal mechanism is pivoted and then linearly moved to the withdrawn position, and then enters into the recess, enabling the pivotal mechanism to the protruding position and press a switch.
