A headgear apparatus is disclosed comprising a molded headgear apparatus which includes a cushioned core component to provide impact resistance during an activity. The headgear is configured to be low-profile to reduce the loss of vision caused by thick headgear which extends away from the face. The headgear may be molded to the facial contour of the user to provide complete protection from cuts, scrapes, swelling, and impact encountered in impact sports, such as martial arts, football, or other sports wherein impact to the head region is possible.

An apparatus includes support members, a cable, a rolling mechanism and a tackling bag. The cable is configured to extend between the support members. The rolling mechanism is configured to traverse the cable and includes first and second sets of wheels. The cable is configured to extend between two wheels of the first set of wheels and between two wheels of the second set of wheels. The tackling bag is configured for attachment to the rolling mechanism. When a downward force is applied to the tackling bag, the pulley device detaches from the wheel housing and a portion of the cable extends around one of the two wheels of the first set of wheels and around one of the two wheels of the second set of wheels to prevent the rolling mechanism from further traversing the cable once the downward force is applied to the tackling bag.

Described herein are wireless billiard ball devices comprising a spherical housing and a circuit board mounted within the spherical housing, the circuit board having components for measuring the impact location of a billiard cue strike upon the surface of the spherical housing in reference to the relative orientation of the device with respect to gravity. The devices described herein do not require manual alignment by a player to measure impact location data. In other embodiments, the spherical housing is comprised of a bored hole, a potting material, and a circuit board mounted within the bored hole and secured in place with the potting material, the circuit board having components for measuring the impact location of a billiard cue strike upon the surface of the spherical housing in reference to the relative orientation of the device with respect to gravity.

A system and method for playing a pin based game with an impact resistant ball and process of forming an impact resistant ball are provided. The impact resistant ball has an increased resistance to damage caused to a ball by repeated impact with objects such as a game board and game pins thereby decreasing the frequency with which the ball must be replaced. The impact resistant ball also has utility to afford a larger segment of the population the ability to properly grip and throw the impact resistant ball by providing an increased length gripper able to accommodate a greater range of hand sizes. The impact resistant ball has further utility to automatically identify and transmit data including the impact of the ball with the game pins and ball metrics including speed, pressure and weight.

A method and an apparatus for impact position detection of impact sport equipment are provided. The method includes following steps: retrieving a vibration signal generated by a vibration sensor detecting vibration caused by impact of impact sport equipment and a ball; performing a spectrum analysis on the vibration signal to obtain eigenfrequencies of the vibration signal in a frequency domain; and calculating at least one piece of characteristic information by using an amplitude of each eigenfrequency and inputting the same into a prediction model established in advance by using machine learning, so as to estimate an impact position of the ball on the impact sport equipment, in which the prediction model is trained by using characteristic information of multiple vibration signals and corresponding impact positions.

A method for measuring the force generated by at least one athlete jumping on a measuring platform includes generating exercise data for jumping exercises. The exercise data is presented to the athlete. As the athlete performs jumping exercises on the measuring platform, a jumping force of the jumping exercises is measured and recorded as measurement data for the measured jumping force. The measurement data is sent to a data processing system that evaluates the measurement data and generates performance data from the measurement data. Expert data is determined from the performance data, and either the performance data or the expert data or both, are outputted to the athlete or to someone monitoring the performance of the athlete.

An apparatus includes a rolling mechanism and a pulley device. The rolling mechanism is connected to a cable and configured to traverse the cable from a first end of the cable toward a second end of the cable, the cable being attached to and extending between a pair of support members. The pulley device is removably coupled to the rolling mechanism and attached to a tackling bag, the tackling bag being configured to be tackled when propelled from the one of the pair of support members toward the other of the pair of support members.
