Systems and methods for reducing runaway resistance on an exercise device
A treadmill may include a deck, a first pulley incorporated into the deck, a second pulley incorporated into the deck, a tread belt surrounding the first pulley and the second pulley, a motor in mechanical communication with at least one of the first pulley and the second pulley to move the tread belt in a first direction, and a runaway mitigation mechanism in at least indirect mechanical communication with the motor. The runaway mitigation mechanism at least mitigates a motor runaway condition.
Baseball pitching machine, system and method
A baseball pitching machine that is configured to precisely index and spin a baseball before pitching the baseball. The machine comprises a baseball spinner and launcher that is configured to spin the baseball using at least one spindle, and then launch or pitch the ball using air (i.e., pneumatic). Preferably, the position of the ball spinner and launcher can be adjusted in terms of position in both the x and y directions (i.e., both side to side, and up and down), as well as its angle. The baseball pitching machine is configured to be controllable such that pitches (in terms of type, location and velocity) can be changed on a pitch-by-pitch basis.
Opposite reciprocal movement rehabilitation
Some embodiments include an outer tube, a pivot structure, an inner tube, a rotational element, and a central rod. The pivot structure perpendicularly intersects the outer tube at a midpoint of the outer tube. The inner tube is coaxially within the outer tube. A first portion of the inner tube is within the outer tube on one side of the pivot structure. A second portion of the inner tube is within the outer tube on another side of the pivot structure. The rotational element couples to the pivot structure, rotates about an axis of the pivot structure, and interfaces with the first and second portions of the inner tube to cause rotation of one portion of the inner tube in a first rotational direction to counter-rotate the other portion of the inner tube in a second rotational direction. The central rod is within the inner tube and translates axially.
Control method for treadmill
A treadmill may include two separate left and right belts rotating around two sets of rollers, four legs having an adjustable height via air suspension to customize an inclination of the treadmill, a thermoelectric assembly, a fragrance assembly having a rotating fragrance cartridge to emit various smells toward a user of the treadmill, a display on which exercise programs are played, and an attachment module having a dispensing tray on which treats are dispensed. A handle of the treadmill may have a sensor to sense a height and front-rear position, and a belt divider provided between the left and right belts may have position or proximity sensors to sense a left-right position. An inclination of the treadmill may be automatically adjusted according to positions detected by the sensors, and the fragrance assembly, attachment module, and inclination may be automatically operated in accordance with an exercise program played on the display.
Portable and storable treadmill having handle
Balance training system, method of controlling the same, and control program
A balance training system including a riding plate; a load distribution sensor; a load sensor; a mobile body on which the riding plate, the load distribution sensor, and the load sensor are disposed; and a control unit configured to calculate a reference position based on positions of feet of a trainee detected by the load distribution sensor, then calculate a center of gravity position of the trainee based on the load detected by the load sensor, and control a movement of the mobile body based on a change of the center of gravity position with respect to the reference position. The control unit is configured to update the reference position based on the changed positions of the feet of the trainee when the change of the position of at least one of the feet of the trainee is detected by the load distribution sensor.
Balanced ball device including a sensing unit for performance measurement
A football device includes an outer skin and an inner bladder to be inflatable and substantially resemble and perform like an actual football. The football device includes a sensor unit that can sense various performance metrics and wirelessly communicate data to another device such as a mobile device. To maintain a feel and performance as close to an actual football as possible, a battery powering the sensor unit is wirelessly recharged.
COMPUTATIONALLY CUSTOMIZING INSTRUCTIONAL CONTENT
A computing system causes instructional media to be played on a device to a user. An instructor in the instructional media provides guidance as to how to perform an activity when the instructional media is played on the device. The computing system obtains user data pertaining to performance of the activity by the user. The computing system generates a user-customized portion of the instructional media based upon the user data and a computer-implemented model. The computing system causes the user-customized portion to be played on the device to the user, where the device emits audible words reproduced in a voice of the instructor, where the audible words are based upon the user data, and further where the device displays generated images of the instructor depicting the instructor speaking the audible words as the device emits the audible words.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL ELECTRONIC RESISTANCE STRENGTH TRAINING FITNESS DEVICE
An exercise device comprising a metallic box, two motors mounted at left and right sides of the box, a mirror touch screen, a camera, a loudspeaker, two motors mounted at the left and right bottom of the box, movable arms at slide tracks at both sides, a voltage transformer for the mirror touch screen, and four drive boards for four motors. All these four motors connect with gear reducers. Four carriages ride on both sides of slide tracks. The upper left and right two carriages provide support for upper limbs exercise. The lower left and right two carriages provide support for lower limbs exercise.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A CONFIGURABLE TRAINING SYSTEM
Systems, methods, and media for a configurable training system are provided. The configurable training system can include a controller and one or more configurable training devices. The configurable training device can include a housing, a cover coupled to a front surface of the housing, a sensor located within the housing to detect an impact, an indicator located within the housing and configured to emit light, and communication circuitry coupled with the indicator and the sensor.
