Keyboard
A keyboard includes a base plate, plural keycaps, plural scissors-type connecting elements and a sliding plate. Each scissors-type connecting element has a bulge. The gliding plate has plural position-limiting structures. The keyboard is installed on a notebook computer and connected with a top cover of the notebook computer. For operating the keyboard, the bulge is received in a first step part of the position-limiting structure. Consequently, the keycap is at a higher height. Since the keycap is at a higher height, the movable distance of the keycap is large enough to provide better tactile feel. For storing the keyboard, the bulge of the scissors-type connecting element is moved to the second step part of the position-limiting structure. Consequently, the height of the keycap is reduced, and the keyboard has a slim appearance.
ELECTRO-PERMANENT MAGNET THERMAL PROTECTION
De-magnetization protection is provided for electro-permanent magnets during information handling system manufacture and use by monitoring thermal conditions at the information handling systems to detect a thermal state associated with de-magnetization and commanding the electro-permanent magnets to an off state so that both magnets in the electro-permanent magnet have opposing polarities. The opposing polarities tend to stabilize magnet polarity to prevent de-magnetization during increased temperatures. Normal operations are then re-enabled once temperatures decrease.
PARAMETER ADJUSTMENTS TO HUMAN INTERFACE DEVICES
In an example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a method may include determining whether a user profile associated with a user of a computing device is available for a human interface device (HID) of the computing device, and, upon determining that the user profile is available, adjusting a parameter of the HID according to a setting found in the user profile.

KEYBOARD KEY SWITCHES
Key switches of the inventive subject matter are designed to give users the tactile feel of key switches from expensive mechanical keyboards without drawback typically associated with alternative key switches. In some embodiments, key switches described in this application are designed to function with a sheet of membrane switches, while in other embodiments, key switches of the inventive subject matter incorporate optical switching in place of membrane switching. Embodiments for use with membrane switching feature a plunger and rocker combination that prevents the pressure from a user's key press from being directly transferred to a membrane switch, thereby reducing wear and tear. In optical switching embodiments, pressing the key switch causes an actuator, e.g., come between an optical emitter/receiver pair to register a key press.

KEYBOARD WITH ADJUSTABLE FEEDBACK
Keyboards, input devices, and related systems include key mechanisms with keycaps and actuators that provide adjustable feedback in response to user input. The actuators are controllable to provide variable tactile force or audible feedback that is dependent upon the user input. Encoders are able to transduce a location or relative position of a keycap as it is being pressed over time, and a signal is provided to actuators to cause them to provide feedback corresponding to the position of the keycap as it moves. The feedback can change the feel or sound of the keycap based on the keycap positions, time of operation, velocity, user identity, and other factors. Thus, the feel or sound of a keyboard or related input device can be adjusted electronically for efficient testing and increased user customization and feedback modes.

Magnetic press key
A magnetic press key includes a housing and a central shaft body disposed in the housing, wherein the bottom of the central shaft body is extended into the housing, and the central shaft body can reciprocate in the vertical direction in a base after the key cap seat is pressed, a first magnetic element is provided on the upper section of the central shaft body, a second magnetic element which can move up and down is provided under the coaxiality of the first magnetic element, and a third magnetic element is provided in the housing. The first magnetic element and the second magnetic element generate repulsive or attractive magnetic force, and the magnitude of the repulsive or attractive magnetic force can be adjusted by changing the magnitude of the energizing current of the energized coil, so that the use hand feeling of the key cap seat is improved.
