Training plans and workout coaching for activity tracking system

A method of providing workout training for a user of an activity tracking system includes displaying a plurality of training plan options to the user on a screen of a personal electronic device, and then receiving a selected training plan option from the user. Selected workout day options are received from the user and the system generates a training schedule for the user based on the selected training plan and the selected workout day options. One or more reminders identify the type of workout for the scheduled day and an option to accept or reject the workout. When the user selects the option to accept the workout, the workout goal associated with the scheduled workout is displayed. The method further includes determining progress toward the workout goal based on the received workout data, and displaying an indicator of progress toward the workout goal on the screen during the workout.

Golf swing training device

Disclosed are various embodiments of a golf training system. In one non-limiting example, a system includes a feedback device, a sensor, and a computing device. The computing device is configured to at least receive sensor data from the sensor during the golf swing of the user and identify a plurality of body movements in which each respective body movement corresponds to a stage of a golf swing sequence based at least in part on the sensor data. The computing device can also be configured to activate a plurality of feedback indicators according to the golf swing sequence for feedback to the user during the golf swing.

Athletic performance monitoring systems and methods in a team sports environment

Systems and methods for sensing and monitoring various athletic performance metrics, e.g., during the course of a game, a practice, a training session, training drills, and the like, are described. These systems and methods can provide useful metrics for players and coaches relating to athletic performances in various sports, including various team sports.

Systems and methods for facilitating exercise monitoring are provided. A representative method includes: using a processor, having processor circuitry, to: compute an orientation change of the single wearable device based on the motion readings; determine a current training type and a target status associated with the current training type based on the schedule of training types; select one of the computing models associated with the current training type; compare the set of matching orientation changes corresponding to the current training type and the orientation change of the single wearable device with respect to a determination threshold corresponding to the current training type until the target status associated with the current training type has been attained; and compute an exercise amount associated with the current training type based on the target status attained.

Wearable computer with fitness machine connectivity for improved activity monitoring

Embodiments are disclosed for a wearable computer with fitness machine connectivity for improved activity monitoring. In an embodiment, a method comprises: establishing, by a processor of a wireless device, a wireless communication connection with a fitness machine; obtaining, by the processor, machine data from the fitness machine; determining, by the processor, a workout session according to the machine data; initiating the workout session on the wireless device; during the workout session: obtaining, from a sensor of the computing device, physiological data of a user of the fitness machine; determining, by the processor, fitness data for the user based on the physiological data, the machine data and at least one user characteristic; and sending, by the processor, the fitness data to the fitness machine.

BALANCE TRAINING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Systems and methods are disclosed for human balance training. The systems and methods involve intermittently occluding the vision of a subject while the subject is engaged in a balance activity, such as walking on a balance beam, for example. Creating a brief period of continuous visual occlusion results in posterior parietal cortex activation, leading to enhanced balance training. The end result is much greater improvement in balance compared to physical training alone.

Monitoring and tracking athletic activity
11534659 · 2022-12-27 · ·

Tracking and monitoring athletic activity offers individuals with additional motivation to continue such behavior. An individual may track his or her athletic activity by completing goals. These goals may be represented by real-world objects such as food items, landmarks, buildings, statues, other physical structures, toys and the like. Each object may correspond to an athletic activity goal and require an amount of athletic activity to complete the goal. For example, a donut goal object may correspond to an athletic activity goal of burning 350 calories. The user may progress from goal object to goal object. Goal objects may increase in difficulty (e.g., amount of athletic activity required) and might only be available for selection upon completing an immediately previous goal object, a number of goal objects, an amount of athletic activity and the like.

Computer implemented American soccer training and evaluation method and system

A computer-implemented American soccer training and evaluation method that includes subjecting a drilling user to pre-defined drilling protocol(s) of a plurality of American soccer drilling assemblies and obtain, from each pre-defined drilling protocol(s) of the plurality of American soccer drilling assemblies and from at least one sensor on each of the assemblies, at least one user physical characteristic of the drilling user. The user physical characteristic is communicated to an administrative server over a network, where it is stored and used to create a drilling user performance profile having individualized performance comparisons with respect to the at least one user physical characteristic of the drilling user and a performance benchmark. Then, the drilling user performance profile is communicated to at least one of a plurality of electronic computing devices of a plurality of consuming users for evaluation and review.
