A knob device for vehicle includes a knob unit and a locking unit. The knob unit includes a rotating cover, a rotary shaft and a motor configured to drive the rotating cover to vibrate. The locking unit includes a rotary wheel which includes a main body fixed to the rotary shaft and locking notches formed at a periphery of the main body. The locking notches are sunk from the periphery of the main body toward a center of the main body in radial directions of the main body. The locking unit further includes a locking pole configured to be inserted into one of the locking notches to block rotation of the rotary wheel, and an actuator configured to drive the locking pole to move. The knob device applies a locking unit which is capable of locking the rotary wheel, thereby realizing diverse use requirements.

A rotary shifter having a cylindrical shaped knob with an inner circumferential surface defining an open interior and exhibiting a detent profile. A stationary inner housing is positioned within an open interior of the knob and supports outwardly biased pawls establishing an interface with the detent profile in a selected rotational position. The inner housing supports a rotating spur gear having an end secured magnet positioned above a sensor incorporated into a printed circuit board (PCB), rotation of the knob resulting in the sensor to communicate to a processor component of the PCB a given rotational position designating a given shift or mode selection. The knob includes an illuminating surface for presenting menu options of the shift or mode selection.

Switch unit

A switch unit includes a switch body and a switch base. The switch body is subjected to a pull-up operation from a normal position to an operated position. The switch base supports the switch body such that the switch body is pivotable about an axis parallel to a first direction extending. The switch body includes an aesthetic wall disposed to extend along an opening, and an operation wall extending toward an inner side relative to the aesthetic surface from one side at an outer edge of the aesthetic wall, the one side extending in the first direction. The operation wall is located inward of an arc centered on the axis, the arc passing through the one side extending in the first direction. A shielding wall intersecting the first direction is provided at at least one of both side edges of the operation wall in the first direction.

Switch unit

The first movable element has a first plurality of magnetic poles spaced periodically at a pole pitch Ps and in the direction of movement, and the second fixed element has a second plurality of magnetic poles periodically spaced at a pole pitch Pr and in the direction of movement, where Ps and Pr are different numbers. A periodic stress is created by the magnetic interaction between the first movable element and the second fixed element in a period Pt. The pole pitches Ps and Pr are chosen such that Pt is strictly less than the smallest of the pitches Ps and Pr.

Control device capable of providing rotational damping through magnetic force

A control device capable of providing rotational damping through a magnetic force is provided directly at the base of an electronic product and includes a supporting member, an adjusting member, and two magnetic members. The supporting member is provided at the base. The adjusting member is rotatably provided on the supporting member. The adjusting member has a bottom portion corresponding to a switch pre-installed in the base. The adjusting member further has a head portion outside the base. The two magnetic members are provided on the supporting member and the adjusting member respectively. The two magnetic members generate a magnetic force therebetween and thereby change the rotational damping between the supporting member and the adjusting member.
