A rotary switch with a knob having an axis of rotation and moveable to a plurality of angular positions and an elongated member extending in a longitudinal direction relative to the axis of the knob. A conductive member is positioned near a plurality of angularly displaced traces formed on a Printed Circuit Board. When the knob is rotated, the rotation is translated to longitudinal movement of the conductive member, which contacts at least one trace to close a circuit.

A rotation operation device includes: a rotation operation section having a cylindrical shape; multiple recessed and projecting sections arranged on an axial end surface or a peripheral surface of the rotation operation section; a conductive section having a protruding section protruding toward each recessed and projecting section and an elastic section biasing the protruding section to each recessed and projecting section, and movable in a recess-and-projection direction when the rotation operation section rotates; an electrode section changing a capacitance in accordance with a movement of the conductive section; and a detecting section detecting the change in the capacitance. The conductive section is moved in turn in the recess-and-projection direction at a different timing. The detecting section detects a rotation direction and a rotation quantity of the rotation operation section by means of a combination pattern of the change in the capacitance.

Lockout-tagout systems and methods

A transfer switch including a lockout-tagout assembly and lockout-tagout method are provided. An example method includes a latch of a transfer switch actuating a first switch, wherein actuating the first switch sends an inhibit signal to an electronic controller of the transfer switch. The example method further includes the latch actuating a second switch, wherein actuating the second switch opens operator cutoff thereby preventing function of an operator assembly of the transfer switch. Still further, the example method includes, after the latch actuating the first switch and the second switch, locking the latch so as to mechanically prevent the source contact from closing.

SWITCH DEVICE

A fog lamp knob (12) and a fog lamp rotor (16) are mounted from one direction along an axis center line (CL). When the fog lamp knob (12) and the fog lamp rotor (16) are mounted, a drive pin (24) on a fog lamp mobile member (22) is disposed between the fog lamp knob (12) cam surface (15) and the fog lamp rotor (16) cam surface (20).

USER INPUT UNIT

The invention relates to a user input unit comprising a housing configured to be attached to a base of a user input device, such as a keyboard. The input unit also has a first movable element coupled to the housing, the first movable element being movable along a first direction and user operable second movable element coupled to the housing, the second movable element being movable along a second direction, the second direction being different from the first direction. Further a transmission configured to transfer movement of the second movable element along the second direction into movement of the first movable element along the first direction is provided. The invention also relates to a user input device, such as a keyboard, comprising a base, such a user input unit, and a sensor configured to sense a movement or a position of the first movable element along the first direction.

The two or more switches each have a respective switch portion moveable between two or more switch positions, and they control power delivery to the two or more operational components. The switch track has two or more tracks. Each track is configured to cooperate with a respective switch portion of the two or more switches to enable the respective switch portion to move between the two or more switch positions in response to the switch track being rotated with respect to the outer housing about an axis
