Multi-track playback of media content during repetitive motion activities
A system for multi-track playback of media content includes: a media device; a user interface, provided at the media device, which displays a visual array of media options, a playback logic, provided within the media device, which is configured so that, while a selected point or region is determined by the user interface as being moved in response to user input, within the visual array of media options, the system determines media options that are proximate to the selected point or region, and adjusts playback parameters for corresponding media content items, by crossfading or otherwise combining playback to reflect the media options relative distances from the selected point or region; and a tempo logic, provided within the media device, which is configured to provide or receive a selected tempo and provide the one or more media content items associated with the selected tempo.
Exercise machine adjustable resistance system and method
An exercise machine adjustable resistance system and method for efficiently varying the workout resistance for an exercise machine. The exercise machine generally includes a carriage movably positioned with respect to the at least one rail, a plurality of springs selectively connectable to the carriage to provide a resistance level to the carriage, a plurality of electrically actuated mechanical devices adapted to latch a corresponding one of the plurality of springs to the carriage when in the latch state and unlatch a corresponding one of the plurality of springs to the carriage when in the unlatch state and a control unit in communication with the plurality of electrically actuated mechanical devices to selectively control the state of each of the plurality of electrically actuated mechanical devices to be within the latch state or unlatch state.
Stationary Exercise Machine Configured to Execute a Programmed Workout with Aerobic Portions and Lifting Portions
Stationary exercise machine configured to execute a programmed workout with aerobic portions and lifting portions. In one embodiment, a stationary exercise machine may include an aerobic exercise element configured to be movable during execution of a programmed workout, a display, one or more processors, and memory. The memory may be configured to store programmed instructions of the programmed workout that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to: automatically alternate, by the programmed instructions of the programmed workout, between aerobic portions and lifting portions, automatically control, by the programmed instructions of the programmed workout, a speed, or a resistance level, of the aerobic exercise element during the aerobic portions, automatically present, by the programmed instructions of the programmed workout, lifting instructions on the display, the lifting instructions configured to instruct a user on lifting one or more free weights during the lifting portions.
CONTROL SEQUENCE BASED EXERCISE MACHINE CONTROLLER
A plurality of control sequences is stored. A user state is detected. A next control sequence associated with the user is selected from the plurality of control sequences based at least in part on the user state.
SYSTEMS, METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR DIFFERENTIAL AIR PRESSURE DEVICES
Described herein are various embodiments of differential air pressure systems and components for differential air pressure systems. The air pressure systems comprise a chamber for receiving at least a portion of a user's body. Pressure in the chamber can be changed to adjust force on the user's body. Described herein are various methods and related structures for sealing a user into a pressurizable chamber. Also described herein are various methods and related structures for changing the shape and/or height of the chamber. Described herein are various types and configurations of chambers and support structures for chambers. Also described herein are various methods and related systems for treating various conditions using the differential air pressure systems, including but not limited to obesity, cardiac disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, or Down Syndrome.
Sports training machine
A basketball training apparatus includes a shot completion sensor, a condition sensor, and a computer. The shot completion sensor determines whether a shot goes through a basketball hoop. The condition sensor senses a physical condition of a basketball shooter. The computer is in communication with the shot completion sensor and the condition sensor, and has a processor for calculating shot completion percentage as a function of the physical condition.
FUNCTIONAL ELECTRICAL STIMULATION SYSTEM OFFERING COORDINATED AND NATURAL MOVEMENTS
A functional electrical stimulation system and method is provided, offering coordinated and natural movements for people or animals with motor system damage, which includes: at least one electrical stimulation device delivering electrostimulation signal to form dynamic stimulation curves through at least one stimulation channel by electrodes, at least one main processor, which communicates with a communication unit, with a high voltage generator and with a current controller; at least one sensing device bi-directionally connected to the electrical stimulation device, the sensing device processes and transmits the information to predictively stimulate according to the user needs; and a computational device bi-directionally connected to the electrical stimulation device having computational device with a display screen, a configuration unit and a communication unit allowing information exchange with the electrical stimulation device.
Fitness machine
An exercise device having a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration, in which in the stowed configuration, the exercise device is aesthetically pleasing and suitable for most rooms due to front and side panels that hide the framing of the exercise device, and in the deployed configuration, the side panels are opened to expose the arms, which can be deployed, moved up and down to adjust the height, and used to perform exercises based on a pulley system. Pneumatic cylinders may be operatively connected to the pulley system to provide the resistance for the exercises. Handles having gas actuators may be operatively connected to the pneumatic cylinders to adjust the resistance.
Positionable Arm With Quick Release For An Interactive Exercise Machine
An interactive exercise system includes a mechanical support system and a display module held by the mechanical support system. A force-controlled motor is attached to the mechanical support system and a reel is driven by the force-controlled motor. The interactive exercise system also has a handle graspable by a user and includes a cord extending between the reel and the handle. The handle or other accessory can be attached by a quick release mechanism. Force applied through the force-controlled motor is based at least in part on detected user force input.
Wearable Resistance Training Device
The described embodiments relate to systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing linear tension to multiple areas of a person to improve training and exercise. The tension can be applied by cables supplied from cable spools that are attached within a resistance assembly. The resistance assembly can be worn as a backpack during exercises, thereby providing a portable means through which tension can be provided to the body. The cables from the resistance assembly can be attached to appendages such as the wrists and legs of the person, and the tension provided by the cables can be adjustable. For instance, the tension can be made non-uniform across the body in order to improve the person's ability to maneuver in situations where there is an imbalance of force on the body.
