Producing a workout video to control a stationary exercise machine

Stationary exercise machine. In one aspect of the disclosure, a stationary exercise machine may include one or more moveable members configured to be moved by a user, an actuator configured to selectively adjust the speed of, or the amount of resistance on, the one or more moveable members, and one or more processors. The one or more processors may be configured to receive a video workout program, execute the video workout program set to a first difficulty level, receive a second difficulty level, and execute the video workout program reset to the second difficulty level.

Method and device for assessing exercise fatigue

A method for assessing exercise fatigue includes obtaining exercise heart rates of a user; calculating a CTL and an ATL based on the exercise heart rates and an exercise load computation model; calculating a TSB based on the CTL and the ATL; and determining a fatigue level based on the TSB. Such a determination of fatigue level will not be affected by subjective factors, thereby the scientificity and accuracy of the assessment result are effectively improved, and the assessment result is closer to the user's current physical function condition.

TIMELINE AND MEDIA CONTROLLER FOR EXERCISE MACHINE
20210023417 · 2021-01-28 ·

A program is presented to a user including a stream of content including a first auditory content and a first visual content related to the workout. A context state of the user participating in the workout is determined based on information from a sensor. A responsive content is selectively added based on the context state of the user to the stream of content in a manner that avoids conflict with the stream of content.

Exercise apparatus simulating mild to high altitude environments

A personal physical conditioning system, for a single, full-size human subject, has a sealable chamber that is configured to allow entry therein and occupancy thereof by the entirety of the single, full-size human subject and to allow the subject to exercise in a standing position using an item of physical conditioning equipment entirely contained within the sealable chamber. The system also has a ventilation system, including a pump, operable to change air in the sealable chamber and to establish, within the sealable chamber, a desired non-zero air pressure level of less than 1 atmosphere and down to pressure conditions substantially equivalent to an elevation of 25,000 feet above sea level. Related methods are also provided.

Training Accessory for Electronic Device
20240001214 · 2024-01-04 · ·

The invention concerns a training accessory for an electronic device and a training method configured to provide training feed-back in real-time. The training accessory comprises a housing suitable for holding the electronic device (400) having a graphical user interface (401), a data interface between the accessory (1) and the electronic device (400), one or more elastically deformable holding means (20), and one or more sensors (3), including at least a force sensor in the accessory (1), the force sensor being configured to determine the force exerted by the holding means (20). The method includes the steps of determining or receiving a safe training range of an individual user, receiving user training data pertaining to the user's execution of a training exercise in real-time, and based on said user training data calculating corrections in real-time and communicating instructions to the user in real-time to permit the user to correct his execution of the exercise such that the exercise is executed within a safe training range.

ATTENTION AND EXERTION BASED SAFETY MECHANISMS IN EXERCISE DEVICES

The present disclosure provides for attention and exertion based safety mechanisms in exercise devices by: identifying a user exercising on an exercise device while the exercise device is in a first state; monitoring a physical state and an attentiveness level of the user while the exercise device is in the first state, wherein monitoring the attentiveness level includes monitoring targets of a gaze of the user within a time window and a consistency of the gaze within the time window; determining, based on the physical state and the attentiveness level of the user, that the user is experiencing a risk of injury above a predefined threshold; and adjusting the exercise device from the first state to a second state to alleviate the risk of injury.

Coordinated weight selection

A free weight assembly includes a cradle, an aerobic exercise element that is movable with respect to the cradle during the performance of an exercise, at least one free weight removable from the cradle, an input in communication with a processor that determines a time to instruct a user to remove the free weight, and an indicator that activates when the time to remove the free weight arrives.

DYNAMIC STARTING RATE FOR GUIDED BREATHING

Aspects of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, and systems for dynamic starting rates for guided breathing. According to an aspect, a user's initial breathing metric is determined. A multiplier is then determined, where the multiplier varies as a function of the initial breathing metric within a range. The level of intensity of the multiplier may vary, and may be a dynamic feature based on the determination of the user's initial breathing metric. Once the multiplier is determined, the multiplier is applied to the user's initial breathing metric to determine a starting breathing metric for guided breathing. The starting breathing metric is slower than or equal to the user's initial breathing metric.

ADJUSTABLE TRANSVERSE RESISTANCE EXERCISE MACHINE

An adjustably tensioned, transverse-suspended elastic element exercise device is disclosed. The transverse element is suspended between rigidly mounted frame or arm elements and sized so as to enable full range of motion exercises. The tension and height of the transverse elastic member can be adjusted to accommodate varying exercise levels and positions. The assembly may include handgrips and attachments to augment workouts. Electronic adjustability, metrics, programmability and Internet connectivity enhance the user experience. A method of using the device is also disclosed.

Exercise equipment

A system for synthesising inertia in exercise equipment, the exercise equipment comprising a rotatable member to which a user applies a user torque in use, the system comprising: an electric drive system comprising an electric motor operably connected to the rotatable member, the electric motor configured to impart a resistance torque, in use, on the rotatable member of the exercise equipment, whereby the resistance torque opposes the user torque; at least one sensor for monitoring a user input to the rotatable member; and a control system, comprising at least a processor and a memory, wherein the control system is connected to the at least one sensor and is configured to use the input from the at least one sensor and at least one predetermined parameter storable in the memory, to determine a resistance torque and to provide instructions to the electric drive mechanism to impart said resistance torque on said rotatable member.
