A handle switch for use on a vehicle includes a plurality of switches for operating electric devices on a vehicle. The handle switch is mounted on a switch case fixed to a handlebar of the motorcycle, wherein the plurality of switches include a composite switch having a plurality of operating directions and other switches having less operating directions than the composite switch. The composite switch is disposed on the switch in a position closer to a center of a vehicle body, and the other switches are disposed in a position between a handle grip fixed to an end of the handlebar and the composite switch. The composite switch has an operating portion is directed rearwardly of the vehicle body. The operating portion of the composite switch includes a four-way switch as a plural-direction operator projects rearwardly of the vehicle body.

Input device

An input device is provided which is configured such that no matter which position on an operation surface is pushed, the detection sensitivity of the pushing load is suppressed from varying due to different operation positions on the operation surface. An input device includes a first pressing member, a second pressing member, and a substrate. The first pressing member has an operation surface and a first axis and is tiltable around the first axis by the operation surface being pushed. The second pressing member has a second shaft and is tiltable around the second shaft by being pushed by a tilt of the first pressing member. The substrate includes at least one pressure sensor which is to be pushed by the second pressing member. A position of the first axis in the first pressing member is variable in accordance with a pushed position on the operation surface.

MULTIDIRECTIONAL OPERATING DEVICE

A multidirectional operating device includes an operational knob including a knob body and plural ribs, and a bezel portion disposed around a rotational axis of the operational knob. The bezel portion includes plural limiting portions formed standing from a top surface side so as to limit the inclination operation of the operational knob by being opposite to a contact surface of the ribs when the operational knob is located at a neutral position, and plural permitting portions arranged between the limiting portions so as to permit the inclination operation of the operational knob while avoiding a contact with the contact surface of the ribs when the operational knob is located at an operational position that allows the inclination operation by being rotated from the neutral position to a right or left position.

Switchable operating device for a motor vehicle

A rotary actuator with an operating knob which is rotatable about a rotational axis is included in an operating device of a motor vehicle. The rotary actuator generates an actuating signal during rotation of the operating knob, and the operating knob is translationally deflectable transversely with respect to the rotational axis to alternately operate two control modules using the same operating device. A coupling device couples the operating device to a first control module and to a second control module. The coupling device is configured to output the actuating signal exclusively to the first control module in a first switching position and to output the actuating signal exclusively to the second control module in a second switching position and to switch from the first switching position to the second switching position during translational deflection of the operating knob in a predetermined deflection direction.

Multidirectional switch device

A multidirectional switch device includes an assembled structure of a plurality of members, which include a user-operable button, and a holder that supports the assembled structure. The multidirectional switch device also includes a set of axial recesses and a set of axial projections that define a pivot axis about which the button pivots relative to the holder. The pivot axis is arranged to allow the holder to cooperate with the assembled structure for operation of the button in multiple directions. The holder includes one of the set of axial recesses and the set of axial projections. One of the members of the assembled structure other than the button includes the other one of the set of axial recesses and the set of axial projections.

A rotatable-swingable input device that has high reliability at low cost and that improves operability. Optical sensors, an elastically deformable holder, and switches are disposed on a wiring board. A shading member has a plurality of shading parts that are arranged in a circumferential direction and pass a space between a light projecting section and a light receiving section of the optical sensor when an operation member is rotated. A click spring contacts with a concavo-convex part of the operation member to generate click feeling. The holder has an inner annular part holding the operation member and shading member, and an outer annular part having pressure parts each of which deforms and pushes one of the switches when the operation member is swingingly operated. The optical sensors are arranged between the inner annular part and outer annular part without overlapping with the click spring to interpose one of the switches.

Operating device

An operating device includes an operating shaft, a movable body that supports the operating shaft, and a base body. The base body includes a contact surface that is in contact with the movable body so as to receive, from the movable body, forces along the plane vertical to the axial direction of the operating shaft. Further, the operating device includes a plurality of sensors adapted to detect forces acting on the base body.
