An arc chute includes a pair of opposing side walls and a non-magnetic body. The side walls are formed of an electrically insulating material. The non-magnetic body includes an open area and a plurality of slots through which to facilitate gas flow. The arc chute also includes a back wall arranged on a back side of the non-magnetic body and including at least one first insulator and at least one magnet. The at least one first insulator is arranged between the at least one magnet and the open area and configured to electrically isolate the magnet from the non-magnetic body. The magnet is configured to generate a magnetic field to redirect an arc in the open area toward one of the side walls.

Switching device

A switching device including a frame, a first fixed contact member having a first contact area, and a first movable contact member having a first contact arm provided with a contact area. The first movable contact member is adapted to pivot relative to the frame around a first pivoting axis between a first position and a second position. The switching device includes a spreader member that is adapted to provide a first intermediate position for the first movable contact member in which a projection of the contact area of the first contact arm overlaps at least partially with a projection of the first contact area on a switch plane perpendicular to the first pivoting axis while the contact area of the first contact arm is spaced apart from the first contact area.

The arc extinguishing part includes a pair of side plates; multiple grids installed at a fixed interval between the pair of side plates; and arc barriers each installed on a base assembly case in a slidable manner, and configured to be in an open state of being separated from the movable contacts when a normal current flows on the circuit or is cutoff, and to close when a fault current is cutoff.

Electrical switch

An electrical switch. The electrical switch comprises at least one fixed contact, a movable contact contacting the fixed contact, and at least one extinguishing apparatus positioned after the fixed contact in an opening direction of the movable contact. A permanent magnet is further positioned after the extinguishing apparatus in the opening direction of the movable contact.

Arc chamber venting

A circuit interrupting device is provided. In some configurations, the circuit interrupting device includes a base and an arc chamber assembly received within the base. The arc chamber assembly includes an arc chamber framework and a plurality of splitter plates received within the arc chamber framework. The arc chamber framework includes a first plurality of protrusions and a second plurality of protrusions that laterally extend in a direction toward one another. Adjacent pairs of the first plurality of protrusions and the second plurality of protrusions are arranged on opposing sides of each of the plurality of splitter plates.

Arc chamber venting

A circuit interrupting device is provided. In some configurations, the circuit interrupting device includes a base and an arc chamber assembly received within the base. The arc chamber assembly includes an arc chamber framework and a plurality of splitter plates received within the arc chamber framework. The arc chamber framework includes a first plurality of protrusions and a second plurality of protrusions that laterally extend in a direction toward one another. Adjacent pairs of the first plurality of protrusions and the second plurality of protrusions are arranged on opposing sides of each of the plurality of splitter plates.
