Gas insulated switching apparatus and switch

An operating device for a disconnector includes a drive unit, a Geneva mechanism, and a wire. The drive unit includes a forwardly and reversely rotatable motor serving as a drive source for driving a movable contactor of the disconnector, a power source supplying power to the motor, and a first pulley connected to a rotary shaft of the motor, and is disposed apart from the disconnector. The Geneva mechanism includes a second pulley that rotates in the same direction as the first pulley with the rotation of the first pulley, and a driven wheel that is intermittently driven while the second pulley rotates and that is provided with a rotary shaft connected to the movable contactor, and is attached to the disconnector apart from the drive unit. Further, as a flexible rotational force transmission member, a wire is stretched between the second pulley and the first pulley.

Switchgear motor operator

A motor operator assembly is described, which is releasably secured and selectively coupled to a switchgear unit. The motor operator assembly includes a support plate, and a latch mechanism secured to the support plate that has a latch member configured to releasably secure the support plate to the switchgear unit. A guide tube is secured to the support plate and includes a cylinder assembly having a motor mount and an indexing mechanism for selectively positioning the cylinder assembly between a stowed position and a use position. A motor operator is attached to the motor mount and has a socket configured to engage an input drive shaft on the switchgear unit.

SWITCH

A switch includes: a circuit breaker; a disconnector; a grounding switch; and a manipulator that drives the disconnector and the grounding switch. The manipulator includes: a motor; a plurality of drive pulleys installed on an output shaft of the motor; and a controller for controlling rotation of the motor. Each of the disconnector and the grounding switch includes a switching manipulator that performs a switching action according to rotation of a driven pulley. A wire for transmitting torque of the motor is stretched around each of the drive pulleys and corresponding one of the driven pulleys. Each drive pulley includes: a mover having a catch that engages with the output shaft; and a chuck having a mover and a driver, the catch being engaged with the output shaft in the engaged state. The controller exclusively brings one of the plurality of drive pulleys into the engaged state.

Inline disconnect for multiphase electric utility line applications

A group-operated switching system for multi-phase electrical transmission lines including a number of inline axial switches for opening and closing circuits to control electrical flow through the transmission lines. The switches include axially mounted load break vacuum interrupters and are mechanically and electrically isolated from each other and from a control box. The control box communicates with the inline switches via RF communications. Power for the switch electronics and operations can be provided from line power, a battery, or a capacitive source.

The apparatus includes a shaft rotatable to a plurality of predetermined positions to change a state of an electric switching device, a motor rotating the shaft via a transmission mechanism when the apparatus operates in an electric operating mode, and a braking mechanism configured to brake the motor in response to the shaft rotated to each position. The apparatus also includes a disc coupled to, and rotatable with the shaft and including a plurality of blocking parts and slots therebetween and a manual lever including a rotatable part and a projecting part arranged at an end thereto. In an apparatus manual operating mode, the projecting part is rotatable into the disc via one of the slots when the shaft is located at one of the positions, and slides out from the disc via another slot when the shaft is rotated to another one of the positions.
