ARC PATH FORMING UNIT AND DIRECT CURRENT RELAY COMPRISING SAME
20220254591 · 2022-08-11 ·

An arc path forming unit and a direct current relay are disclosed. An arc path forming unit according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a magnet frame extending in a longitudinal direction; and a plurality of main magnet units disposed in the width direction of the magnet frame. The surfaces, which face each other, of the main magnet units have the same polarity. Therefore, magnetic fields that repel each other are generated in a space between the respective main magnet units. An electromagnetic force in the direction oriented toward the outside of the arc path forming unit is formed by means of the magnetic fields. Thus, a generated arc can move in the direction of the electromagnetic force so as to be stably extinguished. As a result, various members positioned in the center of the direct current relay are prevented from being damaged by the arc.

An electromagnetic relay includes a case including a base, a first fixed terminal held by the base, a movable contact piece, a gas inflow space, and a gas passage. The first fixed terminal includes a first fixed contact disposed apart from the base in a first direction inside the case, a contact support portion disposed between the first fixed contact and the base and configured to support the first fixed contact, and a first extending portion extending at an angle from the contact support portion and penetrating the base in the first direction. The movable contact piece includes a first movable contact facing the first fixed contact in the first direction. The gas inflow space is formed between the base and the contact support portion inside the case. The gas passage penetrates the base in the first direction and communicates the gas inflow space with an outside of the case.

ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY

An electromagnetic relay includes a first fixed terminal, a base, and a magnet. The first fixed terminal includes a first fixed contact. The base holds the first fixed terminal. The base includes a magnet insertion hole disposed in a vicinity of the first fixed contact. The magnet insertion hole has an opening opened toward the first fixed terminal. The magnet is disposed in the magnet insertion hole and is prevented from coming off from the magnet insertion hole by the first fixing terminal.

ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY

An electromagnetic relay includes a fixed terminal, a movable contact piece, and a support portion supporting the fixed terminal. The fixed terminal includes a fixed contact, a first terminal portion on which the fixed contact is disposed, a second terminal portion extending from one of both ends of the first terminal portion, a first protrusion disposed on the second terminal portion. The fixed terminal is bent between the first and second terminal portions. The first terminal portion has a first terminal surface opposite to the movable contact piece. The second terminal portion has a second terminal surface connected to the first terminal surface. The support portion has a contact surface contacting the first terminal surface of the first terminal portion, and a first side surface including a first groove where the first protrusion is fitted. The first protrusion is disposed on the second terminal surface of the second terminal portion.
