Electrical apparatus for disconnecting an electrical current
A disconnecting electrical apparatus includes a disconnecting block, including elements for disconnecting an electric current each able to be actuated with a coupling member, to switch this disconnecting element to a blocking state or a state allowing the electric current to pass, an actuator block, provided with a controllable electromagnet suitable for generating an electromagnetic force, a mobile container provided with a magnetic plate, which displaces the coupling members, under the effect of the electromagnetic force, so as to switch the disconnecting elements. The apparatus also includes a connection interface inserted between the disconnecting block and the actuator block, the mobile container being housed inside the connection interface.
PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR AN ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT, ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT PROVIDED WITH SUCH A DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROTECTING SUCH AN ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT
The invention relates to a protective device (2) for an electrical circuit (1), including a first fuse (8), a pyroelectric switch (12) connected in parallel with the first fuse and comprising a control area (16), capable of receiving a trigger signal (S), and a power area (18) for the passage of the electric current. The device also comprises a control circuit configured to produce and transmit the trigger signal to the control area. The device includes a second fuse connected in series between a first input conductor (4) and the first fuse and capable of supplying a power supply voltage (V) to the control circuit, which is connected between the second fuse and the control area.
Mechanical disconnect switch with integrated fuse protection
A circuit protection assembly (CPA) is disposed between a source of power and a circuit to be protected. The CPA comprises a mounting block having a bore extending therethrough and a recess cavity on a first surface of the mounting block. A post having a first end is disposed within the recess cavity and a body portion extends through the bore. The body portion configured to receive a terminal and the second end configured to receive a securing mechanism. A fuse having a centrally disposed aperture is configured to receive the body portion of the post and to receive the terminal for connection to a circuit to be protected. An insulator disposed on the terminal and disposed beneath the securing mechanism. The insulator configured to isolate the post from the terminal and the fuse while allowing the securing mechanism to apply an amount of torque.
Fuse holder and carrier
A fuse holder for holding a fuse is provided. The fuse holder includes a body, a line side connector supported by the body, and a load side connector supported by the body. The fuse holder also includes a fuse carrier supported by the body. The fuse carrier is adapted for holding the fuse and the fuse carrier is adapted to be removed from the fuse holder. The fuse carrier defines a longitudinal axis thereof. The fuse carrier is separable from the body in a direction along the longitudinal axis of the fuse carrier.
