Circuit breaker tripping mechanism

A tripping mechanism for a circuit breaker comprises a connecting rod assembly and a control assembly, wherein one end of the connecting rod assembly is connected with a rotating shaft assembly for driving the circuit breaker to be switched off in a driving manner, and the other end of the connecting rod assembly is provided with a jump pin which can be connected with the control assembly in a latching manner, and the jump pin is also provided with a U-shaped groove. The control assembly comprises a switching-off latch which is rotatably mounted. The end part of the switching-off latch can be connected with the U-shaped groove in a latching and limiting manner, and the circuit breaker triggers the end part of the switching-off latch to be tripped from the U-shaped groove when being switched off, and therefore the rotating shaft assembly connected with the connecting rod assembly drives the circuit breaker to be switched off. The tripping mechanism for the circuit breaker, which is provided by the present invention, is stable in latching, simple in structure and accurate in action.

Modular push switch mechanism

The present invention is directed to switch device disposed in a housing with a back body portion, the device includes a switch actuator having a user-accessible surface, the user accessible surface includes an indicator element and an interior channel optically coupled to the indicator element. A light emitting portion is disposed within the interior channel and optically coupled to the indicator element so that the interior channel moves relative to the light emitting portion when the switch actuator moves between the first actuator position and the second actuator position. The light emitting portion is optically coupled to the indicator element when the interior channel moves relative to the lighting portion. A modular lighting assembly is removably coupled to the back body portion at a fixed position so that a light emitting portion of the modular lighting assembly is disposed within the interior channel and optically coupled to the indicator element.

DC circuit breaker and disconnector

A circuit breaker/disconnector apparatus for use in a power delivery system comprises a unidirectional DC circuit breaker which has a first terminal and a second terminal and is configured to automatically open during an overcurrent condition in a forward direction and to remain closed independent of current level in a reverse direction. A disconnector switch is in series with the circuit breaker. The disconnector switch has a first terminal for connecting to a first polarity connector of a power supply, a second terminal for connecting to a second polarity connector of the power supply and a common terminal connected to the first terminal of the circuit breaker. The disconnector switch has at least a first position in which the first terminal is connected to the common terminal and a second position in which the second terminal is connected to the common terminal. The second polarity connector of the power supply may be coupled to a track of a transport system and the second polarity connector of the power supply may be coupled to a live overhead cable or live third rail of a transport system. The apparatus can be used to safely ground the live cable or third rail when in a maintenance condition.

MOTOR CONTROL CENTER UNITS WITH RETRACTABLE STABS AND INTERLOCKS

Motor control centers have units or buckets with one or more sliding shutters that controllably block access to a stab isolation port based on position of the operator disconnect handle using attached cams that slide the shutter right and left. A front panel of the unit or bucket may also be configured to pivot out about a long axis associated with a bottom long side thereof.

Motor control center (MCC) units with retractable power connector and interlocks including a power connector position interlock

Motor control centers have units or buckets with an extendable/retractable power connection (stab) assembly and one or more operating lever interlocks that include a unit latch to latch to a cabinet and a power connection position interlock that blocks the handle of the units or buckets based on position of the power connection assembly, optionally also including a shutter cam that slides a shutter right and left.

Direct current air circuit breaker

A direct-current (DC) air circuit breaker for opening and closing a circuit according to various embodiments includes a circuit unit having a main circuit, a detecting unit having a detection circuit for detecting a fault current in the main circuit, and a circuit operating device configured to allow connection or isolation between the main circuit and the detection circuit.

A thermal breaker having a push rod positioned in a base of the thermal breaker between a first terminal and a second terminal and beneath an electrical conducting element. A first end of the electrical conducting element is fixed to and makes electrical contact with the first terminal and a second opposite end extends to the second terminal and is constructed to make reversible electrical contact with the second terminal. A spacer extends from the push rod and is positioned in between the second end and the second terminal when the push rod is pushed manually towards a rear end of the base, preventing electrical conductivity between the first terminal and the second terminal. Releasing the push rod restores electrical conductivity between the first terminal and the second terminal as a spring pushes the push rod towards a front end of the base.
