Electrical switching apparatus and secondary disconnect assembly with contact alignment features therefor
A secondary disconnect assembly is for an electrical switching apparatus, such as a power circuit breaker. The secondary disconnect assembly includes a terminal block mount having a number of first mounting features, at least one terminal block, and at least one accessory plug. Each terminal block includes a number of receptacles and a number of second mounting features, which cooperate with the first mounting features to properly align, mount and stabilize the terminal block on the terminal block mount. Each accessory plug includes a number of contact alignment features structured to align and guide the accessory plug into a corresponding one of the receptacles.
Breaker secondary terminal block isolation chamber
The disclosed concept pertains generally to secondary terminal blocks and, more particularly, to apparatus and methods for isolating the secondary terminal blocks and associated wiring in electrical switching assembly enclosures. The apparatus includes a housing having an outer surface structured to form a cavity therein. The apparatus is positioned in an enclosure which includes an electrical switching apparatus and one or more secondary terminal blocks. The one or more secondary terminal blocks are positioned in the cavity such that the apparatus at least substantially isolates the one or more secondary terminal blocks from the electrical switching apparatus. Further, the apparatus is effective to substantially isolate the secondary terminal blocks from temperature and pressure effects resulting from an arcing fault occurring in the enclosure.

ELECTRICAL SWITCHING APPARATUS AND SECONDARY DISCONNECT ASSEMBLY WITH ERROR-PROOFING FEATURES THEREFOR
A secondary disconnect assembly is for electrically connecting and disconnecting accessories to an electrical switching apparatus, such as a power circuit breaker. The secondary disconnect assembly includes a terminal block assembly comprising a mounting member, at least one terminal block removably mounted on the mounting member, and at least one accessory plug structured to be removably inserted into the terminal block to be electrically connected to the terminal block. The terminal block and the accessory plug each include a plurality of error-proofing features. The error-proofing features prohibit insertion of the accessory plug into the terminal block unless the accessory plug is correctly disposed in a predetermined orientation.

Accessory device having integrally formed plunger
An accessory device for a circuit breaker. The device includes a housing having a top wall and a hinge portion. The device also includes a plunger arm that extends from the hinge portion to form a cantilever wherein the plunger arm includes a first surface and a sloped surface. The plunger arm is moveable between an initial position wherein the plunger arm does not activate the first and second switches located in the housing and a deflected position wherein the first and sloped surfaces simultaneously contact the first and second switches, respectively, thereby activating the first and second switches. The plunger arm also includes a plunger portion that is oriented transverse to the plunger arm. A mating surface is formed on the plunger portion that mates with a mating surface of a circuit breaker operating mechanism. Further, the housing, hinge portion, plunger arm, and plunger portion are integrally formed.
SOLID-STATE CIRCUIT BREAKER
The present disclosure provides a solid-state circuit breaker including a mounting side plate; an operating handle disposed on the mounting side plate and being rotatable relative to the mounting side plate to switch between a closing state and an opening state; a mechanical switch connected to the operating handle, wherein in a case that the operating handle is rotated by a first angle from the closing state along a rotation direction of the operating handle switched from the closing state to the opening state, the operating handle drives the mechanical switch to open; an actuating assembly disposed on the mounting side plate, wherein an end of the actuating assembly abuts against the operating handle, and the actuating assembly is rotatable relative to the mounting side plate under driving of the operating handle; and a microswitch abutting against the other end of the actuating assembly away from the operating handle, wherein in a case that the operating handle is rotated by a second angle from the closing state along the rotation direction of the operating handle switched from the closing state to the opening state, the operating handle drives the actuating assembly to rotate, and the microswitch is triggered by the actuating assembly, and the first angle is greater than the second angle.
