Fuse assemblies in the form of fuse blocks and fuse holders include embedded permanent magnet arc suppression features that facilitate higher voltage operation of fusible circuit protection without increasing the size of the fuse assemblies. The embedded magnets apply an external magnetic field upon an overcurrent protection fuse and produce an arc deflection force to enhance arc quenching capability of the fuse without increasing its form factor.

A fuse holder for an in-line fuse, including a multipart housing, a fuse carrier for a fuse and at least one closure element, characterized in that the housing has at least a first housing part with an interior space and at least a second housing part with an interior space, the housing parts can be moved from a closed position, in which the housing parts are connected to one another by the closure element and enclose the interior spaces, into an open position, in which the housing parts are spaced apart from one another by an opening width and the interior spaces are open, and back in the direction of a longitudinal axis of the fuse holder.

A fuse terminal includes a central body portion. A first arm extends from the central body portion and defines an arm space that is located on a fuse side of the central body portion. A connector portion also extends from the central body portion and includes a leg that extends on the fuse side of the central body portion.
