An attachment structure includes a housing and a plate-shaped cover attached to the housing. The cover has a locking portion to fix the cover to the housing. The housing has a locked portion engaged with the locking portion to regulate a movement of the cover in a direction separating from the housing. The attachment structure is configured to engage the locking portion and the locked portion at an engagement place while the cover and the housing are pressed each other in directions separating from each other at a pressing place distant from the engagement place, and to form a space between the cover and the housing in a region between the pressing place and the engagement place, when the cover is attached to the housing.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING AN OPEN-CAVITY FUSE USING A SACRIFICIAL MEMBER

A method of assembly of an open-cavity, wire-in-air fuse which provides improved manufacturing yield and fuse reliability, involving coiling, braiding or twisting a fusible element around a sacrificial member during the manufacturing process to provide support for the fusible element to prevent mechanical breakages and necking problems commonly encountered during manufacture.

FUSE AND ON-VEHICLE DEVICE

An on-vehicle device is provided with a fuse. A plurality of terminals each have a long- plate shape and are aligned with each other. A fusible portion is connected to two of the plurality of terminals. A housing covers a part of the plurality of terminals and the fusible portion and has heat resistance equal to or higher than 300 degrees. Current flows through the fusible portion. The fusible portion is blown out in the case where the temperature of the fusible portion exceeds a predetermined temperature.

Bus bar

A straight bus bar includes an axial direction and having a rigid first portion with a first contact surface connectable to a first fuse, an axially spaced rigid second portion with a second contact surface connectable to a second fuse, and a connecting portion electrically connecting the first portion and the second portion. The connecting portion is a resilient compensation portion having at least two lateral recesses extending from opposite sides into the bus bar making the connecting portion elastically bendable to allow a relative axial movement of the first and second portions when an axial force is applied to the bus bar.

A fusible link unit (1) includes a battery (5) with a battery post (3) projecting on an upper surface of the battery (5), a fuse unit (9) arranged on the upper surface of the battery (5) and having a battery terminal (7) connected to the battery post (3), and a fuse cover (11) covering an outer circumference of the fuse unit (9). A deck board (13) is arranged above the fuse cover (11) so as to be capable of being opened and closed. The fuse cover (11) is fixed by being held between the battery (5) and the deck board (13) in a closed state of the deck board (13).

Powerline cutout switch improvement

The present invention is a power line cut-out switch used in power transmission system comprising a base member having a vertical extension member perpendicularly attached thereon that secures a mechanical jumper used when transferring power lines from one electrical post to another. The vertical member can include a mushroom top member to further secure the mechanical jumper. The mechanical jumper is mounted to the vertical extension member to provide a stable and secure point of engagement when transferring power lines. This avoids electrocution to workers by no longer having to connect the mechanical jumper to flimsy solid jumpers and helps provide more uninterrupted power supply to consumers when installing new posts or shifting old posts to a new location.
