MULTI-POLE DOME SWITCH
Implementations of a multi-pole dome switch configured to simultaneously, or nearly simultaneously, close or open two separate circuits are provided. In some implementations, a multi-pole dome switch may comprise a tactile metal dome and a conductive insert that are separated by an insulator. In some implementations, when the dome is depressed, the dome and the conductive insert are configured to simultaneously, or nearly simultaneously, make conductive contact with two traces of a first circuit and two traces of a second circuit, respectively, positioned thereunder on a PCB. In this way, the multi-pole dome switch is able to simultaneously, or nearly simultaneously, close two separate circuits. Succinctly put, in some implementations, the multi-pole dome switch may be configured to act as a double-pole, double-throw switch.
Dome-shaped assembly and handheld electronic device including dome-shaped assembly
A dome-shaped element disposable in a keyboard of an electronic device is provided. The dome-shaped element includes a concave surface originating at a center and terminating at a periphery. The concave surface includes an annular array of elastic elements extending from the center to the periphery. At least one of the elastic elements includes a first portion with a first slope proximate to the center and a second portion with a second slope proximate to the periphery. The concave surface is deflectable between an un-deflected position and a deflected position and is configured to affect an operation of the electronic device in the deflected position.
Bicycle Electrical Control Device and System
A control device may be configured so as to be integrated, or coupled, with a bicycle to control bicycle components. The control device may also be integrated with other control devices and system components to control bicycle components. The control device may interface with electromechanically controlled bicycle components so as to trigger an action when actuated. The control device may be dimensioned so as to have a mating surface contoured to matingly engage with a mounting surface of a bicycle, such as on a handlebar. The control, device may also be dimensioned so as to have a compact and/or concealed appearance aided by a low profile relative to the bicycle mounting surface selected for the control device. The control device may be configured such that the control device is protected from, actuation from unintended or other user inputs.
